"Hurry up or you'll miss the train!"
"Say hi to your cousins for me!"
"Don't forget to write!"Chatter echoed platform 9¾ as the new year began. "James! James Potter get back here!" Ginny yelled to her son. He was already with some of his friends and Ginny had the time of her life embarrassing him at the beginning of every year.
Shaking, Albus hung to his cart. What if he was put in Slytherin? Slytherin is the bad house! He can't be in Slytherin! "Albus-" Harry said crouching to his sons level, "-what's the matter?"
Eyes the same bulging green as Harry's, they shook with fear like his fathers did on his first day. "What if I'm put in Slytherin?"
Harry sighed, he thought all this prejudice was forgotten about. He certainly never mentioned this to his son- it's got to be Ginerva and Ronald, they've always hated Slytherin.“Albus Severus,” Harry said quietly, so that nobody else could hear his and his son's conversation, “you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew.” he still didn't look convinced, "And, the first person I ever... liked, liked was in Slytherin." Albus' eyes grew with curiosity.
"Do you still like her dad?"
"Get on the train, you'll be late little guy. And remember, whatever house, I love you and Slytherin is not a bad house." Harry ruffled his sons hair. Although Albus wasn't ready to drop the topic, he really did need to go as the train was about to blow its final whistle."Bye Scorp! Make sure you write to me!" He heard someone yell. That voice, Harry knew it anywhere. God, that voice was enchanting. He turned and caught the eye of the colour that was brighter than the moon. The colour that was more fascinating than the twinkling stars of the night sky, the moon-like colour more captivating than the sun on the hottest day.
"Harry." Malfoy said walking and standing beside him. Ginerva was with Ron and Hermione making conversation. None of them had saw the two talking, if they did then someone would have came over.
"Draco." He nodded his head as a 'hello'. "Where's Astoria? I thought you two were married." This was the first pleasant conversation since his trial. That was Harry's happiest day. Because, Malfoy hugged him and said thank you. He remembers Malfoy's warm touch, the way his arms so easily fitted around Harry's neck. It didn't happen once, but happened twice.
"We split after Scorp was born. We were only together because both our parents wanted an heir. We never loved each other. The moment we split, she took off for America I think." He looked on fondly of the train leaving, Scorpius still waving out the window, "How's the job? Head Auror, it was all over the Daily Prophet." They still hadn't made eye contact since they saw each other.
"Honestly, I hate it. But, I can't change jobs. I've got two kids to provide for." He replied.
"You could try your hand at a professor. You'd do great as the Defense Against The Dark Arts teacher. McGonagall would accept you right away Golden Boy." He joked finally locking eyes.
"I might just try that, thankyou, Draco. What do you do?""Work with Pansy. She started a fashion line and we are both the owners of it. When Lucius got put in Azkaban, I had time to reflect on what I want to do, this is where it's led me. I couldn't think of a better work team, Pansy and Blaise are like my brother and sister and we all work together. I handle the finances and design a bit, Pansy designs and Blaise markets."
"Is that line by chance called Parkinson's?" Harry raised an eyebrow. He remembers Hermione, Ginerva and Molly talking about how much they loved that line and would love to meet its designer. Oh they would be in for a suprise.
"Seems like my good reputation proceeds me. Makes a change from all the Death Eater talk I must say." Draco joked, but Harry saw it still hurt him. The man really had changed and matured, but people keep looking at his past mistakes that most of them were forced upon him. It just was not right.
