Kelli's POV
__________
Later that week, it was Monday. The first week of Advent. I was in chorus class, the last block of the day. Ms. O came into the music center. "Kelli." She said. "Do you know your solos?" "Yes." I said. "Thank you."

We went over the medley of Lion King. The chorus was singing in soprano and alto. I am a soprano with most of the seventh grade girls. I'm the only soprano that's an eighth grader in this class. So, anyways, we were working on 'circle of life,' the last part of the medley. We were the class that sang the melody.

Before the block ended, Ms. O came to me. "Are you coming at tutorial Wednesday?" She asked. "And are you staying after school that day?" "Yes I am." I said. "I'm totally looking forward to auditions." She smiled. "I'm glad. See you Wednesday." She said.

I walked out with Olivia. "So." I said. "Do you need to get anything from your home room?" "Well, actually I do." Olivia said. "I didn't think ahead." We both laughed. "Well I thought you were more organized." I said. "I guess not." Olivia said.

After I got my books needed, I walked out the door with my MYSL softball jacket. I walked out to the parking lot where cars were lined up driving around with the students waiting for their ride. I saw Jason and Allie. "Hey." Jason said. "Hey." I said. "What's up?" "Allie invited me over." He said. "What about you?" "The usual." I said. "Homework. Kill me now."

"We can get that arranged." He joked. He threw a 'fake punch,' but my wolf reflexes made me grab his arm and squeeze it tight. He couldn't move at all. "Um, Kelli?" He said. I realized what I was doing. I suddenly let go. "Oops." I said. "Sorry. Instincts I guess."

I started getting headaches. They were larger than usual. I grimaced and winced. "Are you okay?" Jason asked. "I'm okay." I said. "Just a headache. No big deal." "It kind of is if you are in that much pain." He said. "Go to the nurse if you have to." I shook my head. "No." I said. "I'm fine." "You are clearly not fine." He said. "Something happened with your eyes when you grabbed my arm."

The headache came back on. WTF! I thought. I can't take this. I got light headed. I lost my footing and stumbled. Luckily I landed on one of the benches. Hand to my head, I quickly checked my phone. There was a notification. The full moon was Saturday. "No. What the frick." I whispered. Jason and Allie happened to hear me.

"What are you stressing about?" Allie asked. "Listen." I said. "I don't want to talk about it. Just leave me alone. Please?" She nodded and walked away. "Give me your phone." Jason said. My phone showed the notification again. "No." I said. "Why would I trust you with my phone?"

It was too late. He already had it in his hand. "What?" I said stunned. "How did you do that?" "Just skill, girl." He said. "Oh, and it says 'Full moon Saturday.' What's that all about?" "Nothing." I quickly said. I took my phone back.

"Admit it." He said. "Admit what?" I asked. "I'm not stupid, Kelli." He said. "It said full moon. I have a good feeling that you are hiding something." "No." I said. "I'm not." "Okay." He said. "It will be our little secret." He laughed as I saw a flash of a different color in his eyes. It wasn't yellow. I stepped back a bit. He's got to be a vampire. I just saw that. I thought.

"Oh." He said. "And what about that necklace. You said you made it. Was there a reason you made that?" I couldn't take it any longer. I let out a growl and my eyes glowed yellow. "Stop interrogating me." I growled.

My headache went away. However, he was still there. "I have a feeling you are hiding something." He said. "I'm watching you." I looked to my right. There was my mother. "Got to go, kid." I said. "See you tomorrow."

I got in the car and drove home with my mother.

I got home, changed my clothes, and did my homework. I looked at the time. "6:30." I said. "Wow. I'm already done. Full chill mode, activate!" I went to text Rachel.

Kelli: Hey! Wazzup?

Rachel: Nothing much. U?

Kelli: I am scared about the full moon. It's Saturday.

Rachel: Me too. Is that the day of auditions?

Kelli: Yup.

Rachel: Good luck with the moon. And I hope you do well at the audition.

Kelli: Thanks. Good luck to you too.

Rachel: The moon is affecting me. My powers are going crazy and it's that close. Oh god.

Kelli: The moon is affecting me greatly. I'm getting mood swings. And
when I tried reaching a high note, I crack my voice, but when I'm just singing, I reach it. Also, headaches. And pains in my jaw, eyes, and face.

Rachel: That sucks.

Kelli: Ikr.

Rachel: Yeah. So are you free this weekend?

Kelli: Well, after auditions, I am decorating my Christmas tree. Wanna help?

Rachel: Well, I have basketball at 11:30. You could come to that!

Kelli: Okay. I'll ask.

I went to ask my mother. I came back with the answer.

Kelli: I'm coming.

Rachel: Great! See you there!

Kelli: Okay. Bye.

I left the iPad and went to my chores. Dishes and cleaning my room. Ugh.

It was 7:00. I decided to go to sleep. I didn't want to experience this early. I laid my head on the pillow as I slowly closed my eyes.
