Chapter 13 - complication

Kelli's POV

I arrived at the school in Marshfield, the place to audition. Samantha was there. "Hey." Samantha said. "Oh, thank goodness I'm not the only one here." "Hey." I said. "Where is Ms. O? Are we the first ones here?"
She nodded.

"I guess so." She said. Right when she said that, Ms. O walked through the door. "Sorry girls." She said. "Are we waiting for Emma, Kayla, and Liz?"

I looked at the doors and they came through. "Right on time." I said. We all laughed as Ms. O signed us in. We walked then, into a warm-up room. There were tons of talented schools. I started to feel a little nervous. I started sweating a little.

Other students were staring at us, in particular, me. I was cracking my neck and when I put my head down, my eyes would flash yellow for one quick second. Then I realized, what if I know someone here? I remember talking to a friend saying that he'll meet me there. I totally doubted it.

Then it was our turn to warm up. We did some vocal exercises. I noticed that others were singing with us. Then we worked on the song. I think we did good in my opinion. Again, other students were singing along with us. I liked it.

Then our school was called to audition. Emma and I were waiting for the group to move. "How do you think you feel?" I asked.

"I'm a little nervous." Emma said. "This is my first time. Were you nervous on your first try?" I nodded. "Yeah." I said. "This time, I'm more confident than I was last year."

A moderator shushed us as we were called by school. "Sacred Heart!" Someone said. We all walked to the desk. "Ok, so there are three sopranos and two altos." She said. "Sopranos go into room one and altos go into room three."

We all were lined up at the doors. There was a woman waiting for the sopranos.

I walked in and she greeted me. "Hello." She said as I handed her the form. "Are you ready for the song?" I nodded. She played the song and my part was missing. I filled my part in.

The song ended and I thought I did well. Next was sight reading. I had to start with a B-flat. While I sang I was reaching my notes. However, when I finished, I ended up with a headache. She didn't notice though. "Thank you." She said. "Well done." I smiled and quickly ran out of the door.

Rachel's POV

I got to the school at 12:30 like I'm told to and got my jersey. We warmed up after the game that was before us. coach Everett called us over and told the team the starting five. I was starting, and being the tallest on the team I jumped smacking the ball to Sarah , who dribbled up and got a basket. ' this is going to be a good game' I thought.

The first half ended and I had gotten three baskets already and half the team had gotten at least one. I knew that Kelli was going to come so during half time we chatted until the bell rang and I had to get back out on the court.

The game ended I got five baskets played an amazing game and the whole team scored baskets. The final score was 36-18 we won our first game. after the game I went to Kelli's house and we talked a little about the game, then I helped them decorate for Christmas.

We went on to Kelli's iPad and used one of her apps to track the full moon which was like two weeks away. Then we heard a bing noise and she had got an email that said that the coffee house was next week and there was a blue moon that was next week. We both face palmed knowing the blue moon is almost twenty times worse.

"What am I going to do now?" Kelli complained. "This will be just like my dream." " Um hello I'm here too" I sassed. "No." Kelli said. "Remember the dream?" "Oh yeah." I said.

"That's what I'm worried about." She said. "Then, I will make sure Annabelle doesn't get to us." I assured her. "She's my sister and she won't hurt you when I'm around." "Let's hope." She said. "Good night." She fell right to sleep.
