His Naughty Princess

Chapter 12

I have my auditions to judge and insecurities to get over. I'm freaking out, I didn't think the dumb principal would actually be able to pull this off. I need to focus on how I'll fill my grave when I'm humiliated by the entire school.

I can't have any distractions right now and that includes Mr. Princess. Yes you heard me, Aiden Rush. He's been on my mind since that night. After we watched the sunset while conversing in small talk about random stuff, he carried me bridal style back to his car because my shoes were wet all because of him.

It's already Wednesday and my plan to strategically avoid judging these auditions is almost finalized. All I have to do is make it perfect.

I turn on the music once more and continue planning my long heart felt speech telling the principal why I'm not fit for cheer captain and how I lied.

I balanced my weight on my hand balancing canes, doing my routine to clear my head as I think.

I figured, why not practice my plan while doing contortion? That way my plan to avoid will be flawless

So that's what I'm practicing my avoidance plan and contortion.

"He didn't even try!" Amy, Mia and I laughed at a story Ashton and Mia's mom was telling us about Ashton.

We we're currently sitting in the Steven's kitchen cracking in jokes on poor Ashton.

"Oh shut up! Give me a break, I was just a kid!" Ashton pouted.

"Ashton that was last week." Mia rolled her eyes causing us to laugh harder.

Ashton's so childish, he acts like a five year old.

Our laughter subsided when my phone started ringing.

I frowned at the unknown number. "Hello?" I answered.

"Are you with Ashton right now?" A deep and husky voice spoke with desperation.

"Umm who the is this?" I freaked out.

"Princess it's Aiden." He said softly.

"Oh, how'd you get my number?" I asked confused.

"It doesn't matter. Are you with Ashton?" He said a little to rude for my liking.

"Yea why?" I cocked an eyebrow even if he couldn't see me.

"Just let me talk to him."

"Rude." I mumbled.

"I heard that princess." I faintly hear him say before handing Ashton the phone.

"Hello?" He looked at me weird as he talked into the phone. His gaze flickered to his concern looking mother across the kitchen.

"Mom um, it happened again..."

"What happened again baby?" Her face morphed into panic.

"Umm, Aiden's um, dad he-" She cut Ashton off

"Oh dear, they can stay here it's fine." Her facial expression dropped along with Mia's and Amy's

"What's going on?" I was now concerned, confused as well.

"Nothing Kay,  you should go home..." Pat's sad voice only made my concern severe.

"What are you guys not telling me?" I furrowed my eyebrows, something fishy here.

"Nothing important, we'll call you in the morning okay?" Mia hurriedly kissed my forehead then pushed me to their front door.

"Mia-" She cut across me.

"Sorry, bye. Drive safe." She blew me an air kiss before slamming the door on my face.

Wow.

I really wanted to know what was going on but I guess it's non of my business. But still I couldn't help the uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Something was definitely wrong.

Inspite of my mini mental panic attack, I followed their orders and went home.

All I know is something's going on with Aiden's dad..?

I got home and apparently my parents went to visit my grandparents an hour away according to the note they left in the kitchen, they won't be back til tomorrow.

The babysitter left when I got home, leaving only Kali (my sister) and I home alone in the mansion of loneliness. The closest people in reach would be the one security gaurd outside near the gate.

I made dinner for the two of us and me being generous gave the security guard cause he seemed hungry.

After I read the hyper seven year old a bedtime story which I fell asleep halfway through.

Now it was just me and my thoughts, wondering what the earlier events at Mia's house was all about...
