Chapter 15: Battle/Ring Hunting

Spencer's POV:
Practicing went well and now we are preparing the battle field with my blood so the newborns go crazy. I give Emily Cassian to watch for the day into tomorrow. I bring a bag of clothes and jackets because it's probably going to be cold on the mountain and Emmett's fighting because it's Emmett. We set up camp in a cave and Edward is staying up there with me and so is Seth. Carolyne is here too. We take a nap and wake up when Edward says, "Victoria is using you, Riley. She's only avenging her true mate, James."

I get up and stretch and say, "Hi, Victoria. Remember me? The sister of Isabella?"

She growls at me and Edward says, "You'll never have a chance like this again. You want to kill her and Bella because I killed James and turned him into ash ... turned him into nothing."

She lunges at Edward. I see Seth having a bit of a hard time and I made a small cut on my arm and they both are in a daze and Edward and Seth attack them and win. We go down to the field and the Volturi come in and say, "Never seen a coven win a fight like this. Who are you?"

I say, "Emmett's mate. Who are you?"

She says, "Jane. Are you going to be turned?"

I say, "Yes."

Jane looks at Edward and says, "Where is she?"

Edward calmly states, "In Florida. Where she will stay for a long time."

I say, "Don't kill my sister, Jane. She needs to live with what she's done. I mean the cheating, getting knocked up and then trying to kill her child, me having to explain that I was raped and ended up pregnant and my child died to pretty much everyone in this town to explain why she calls me a whore and that I asked for it. Which I didn't. I adopted her child and now she wants Cassian back because I have him. She's done a lot in a very short amount of time."

Jane says, "Ok. Let's go after you take care of that, Felix."

Felix kills the poor girl and they leave. Carlisle, Emmett, and I head over to the reservation and go see Jake and get Cassian. I hold my baby and someone asks, "Won't you not like the smell when you are changed?"

I say, "He's my son and the Cullen's don't mind his smell, who ever you are."

He says angrily, "My name is Paul."

I say blankly, "My name is Spencer. What's your point?"

Sam says, "Outside now. Paul, go."

He leaves and Sam says, "He has a very short temper even though he shouldn't be mad at you not knowing his name."

I wave it and say, "How is he? Besides the screaming."

Sam says, "In a lot of pain. The bones started healing and Doc needs to rebreak them to set them and his body is using the morphine faster than a human's would. He feels most of it."

I grimace and glad I put baby headphones on Cassian. Carlisle comes back out and says, "I'm done, but if anything looks suspicious or inflamed contact me."

Sam nods and we go inside and I say, "Hey. We are about to go. I thought you would like to see him before we leave."

Jacob slightly smiles and says, "I'll see him soon when my bones are healed. Bye."

I say, "Get lots of rest."

He nods and we leave. I put Cassian in his bed and Emmett and I go on a walk. He lightly pushed me into a tree and says, "I love you."

I smile and say, "I love you, too."

He leans in and kisses me softly and I deepen it and run my finger through his hair and he groans. He pulls away and says, "Marry me, Spencer. I want to raise our family with you. Even if it stops growing after Cassian. I want to be with you and only you forever. We can adopt more in the future if you want to. I want to spend the rest of eternity with you."
