Sean shoved open the door to his house, winded. He jogged the entire way back, a little bit of sweat on his forehead. Taking his phone out, the clock just turned to 7:45pm. Dialing in Athena's number, he put it on speaker as he took of his shoes and coat.

"You're actually early." She said as an answer.

"Yeah, well, I had time." He breathed, grabbing some water from the kitchen.

"Why're you so winded?"

He took a big drink. "I went for a jog on my way back." He cleared his throat. "Anyways, happy now?"

"..Yeah..for now. I can be over there in twenty minutes." She said. "Kinda boring at my place right now.."

"Why don't I swing over there this time?" Sean suggested. "Gives you a little break in a way."

"Sure, I guess. I just gotta straighten up a little."

Sean lifted a shoulder. "No worries. I'll be there soon."
Hanging up, he wandered over to the couch, his brain not letting go of the image of the name Carter Slade. He has no idea why the name sounded important to him, but it does. Was it someone who was part of his family forever in a day ago? Or were they some legend?
Nausea began to hit, and he felt confused before he jumped to his feet. It was time again, to go out and do more of his bidding. To rid more evil.
But he promised to go to Athena's house to hang out! This can't be happening now!

"No...don't do this now!" He shouted, but was too late.
By the time he opened his eyes, his body became fire.

Once more, he tore up the roads with his car, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake. The adrenaline was addictive, like a drug he can't stop taking.
He came up to a turn in the road when he heard a scream for help. Stopping, he looked to his right, seeing someone in danger. A girl was pinned against the wall by a guy, a knife to their chest.

"Gimme your money!!" They yelled.

"Help me!!" The girl cried. "Someone help me!!"

Sean was on top of the building when he let out a roar, grabbing their attention before jumping down. The girl looked at him with confusion and slight relief, and when he gave the gesture to go, her shoulders slumped with relaxation.

"Thanks." She said, grabbing her purse before running off, the guy not even noticing. Lifting his bony finger, he pointed at him.

"You...guilty." He said in that deep, guttural voice. Going up to them, he had them by the collar, the guy staring at him in terror.

"Look, I'm sorry!" He pleaded.

"Sorry...all out of mercy." Sean lifted him up higher when the guy swung his knife into the back of his shoulder. More annoyed than anything, the metal of melted off, the guys eyes wide. "Look into my eyes...your soul is stained by the blood of the innocent...feel their pain."

The man screamed, and it was like a record player of every wrong doing he has ever done. Robbing banks, getting into bar fights, holding people hostage. He has killed people, but never learned his lesson...until now.
When it was over, the mans eyes were charcoal as he fell to the ground, in a complete daze.
Sean was already back on the road when he heard sirens behind him. Looking in his mirror, he saw two cop cars following him.

"I got the suspect here on Mason, I repeat, north on Mason!" They said in their walkie talkie.

"You people piss me off." Sean growled, picking up the pace, the roar of the engine really coming to life. The cops also went faster, trying to keep up. Keeping his eyes on the road, he took a couple turns to try and throw them off, but it didn't work. But what really got his attention, was the dead end.

"There's no where for them to go, we got them cornered!" The cop said.
But what was about to happen next, will definitely throw them off, to have them think that it wasn't possible, yet he's the ghost rider, anything is possible.
Going even faster, the front end kicked up, catching onto the brick of what looked like a business. His eyes lit up in flames, letting everything else do the magic. The car obeyed to its driver, going up the wall. He heard them say he was going up, complete disbelief in their voice. When he was at the top, he came to a screeching halt. Getting out, he heard a voice echoing in the distance.

"Riidderrr." A whistle was heard, catching him off guard when he was suddenly thrown onto his back, a big cloud of wind in front of his face. A figure was in the middle of it, blending into the dust it kicked up.

"You think you've been off the radar?" They said, Sean getting back on his feet, doing the same he did to the guy who tried to rob that girl. Hands bunched in the collar, he managed to have them in his grasp.

"Time to clear the air."

Laughing, he simply floated back. Grabbing his chain, Sean swung it at him, but it only went through.

"You think you can destroy me, rider?" He taunted. "You cannot catch the wind!"

Growling in frustration, he had the chain in both hands, and, with a quick slide of them, the chain caught fire. Trying again, he spun it around like a lasso before picking up the pace with the flick of his wrist, going faster and faster until the guy got caught in it, screaming as he was sucked into the tornado of flames until he became nothing.
Getting back in the car, he knew what he had to do next. Flooring it, he swerved to the side, skidding back down the building, his tires gripping perfectly until he slammed onto the concrete, not leaving a scratch except a giant hole in the cement.

He was surrounded by every cop that in town, two FBI trucks, and a S.W.A.T. team truck. They all stood outside the vehicles, guns loaded and ready to fire. But what caught his attention as he got out, was who was towards the front lines. He knew them anywhere, their face unmistakable.

Athena.
