It was just a little after the noon hour, Athena waking up the brightness of the sun shining through a window. Taking in her surroundings, she forgot she was at Sean's house. She confronted him about last night, and, even though she didn't want to believe it, it actually happened. She was about to move when she noticed she was laying in bed..but it wasn't her bed. It was Sean's..the only thing covering her up being the sheets, her face heating up as it all came back to her.
The bed jostled, indicating that Sean was right next to her as she turned to face him, noting he didn't have a shirt on either.

He smirked. "You're blushing, you know."

Athena giggled. "That really did happen, didn't it?"

He gave a small nod. "Well yeah."
Scooting closer to him, she played with his hair. "I gotta be honest...I've never let myself go like that before..and I..I kinda needed that."

Sean gave her a kind smile. "I've been wanting to tell you for so long but..guess I never had the guts until now."

Athena's eyes widened then she laughed. "Well now you did."
Leaning in, she gave him a kiss before they got out of bed, putting their clothes back on. "So now what? We just wait until it happens?" She asked, putting her shirt over her head.

"Pretty much." Sean said. "I was thinking I could set up a video game in the meantime."

Athena nodded. "Sure."

Once he left the room, she ran her hands through her hair when she looked at herself in the mirror. That wild look was still in her eyes, considering what happened. It was like she felt different, now that she doesn't have to hide her feelings anymore. Yet..there's something else.
Lifting her hand, she watched her fingers turn into a skeleton for a couple seconds before it was normal.

"Not yet..." She said to herself, and left the room.

For the next while, Sean and Athena played video games, getting a few good laughs throughout. It was now the evening hours, Sean pacing around, biting his nails.

"You've been through it before." Athena said, putting her sweatshirt. "This time won't be any different."

"I know I just...like I said before I don't want you in harms way." He said.
"I know you don't. I get it. But I want to see this for myself." She grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks. "I trust you, okay?"
Slumping his shoulders, he gripped her hand. "Okay.."

Letting go, it was just enough time for him to turn, his skin burning off, his head becoming a flaming skull. Athena's eyes were huge, unable to tear her gaze from this. It almost felt...mesmerizing..in a sick, twisted way. She saw him look over to her, then went out the door. Quickly following him, when he got in the car, it changed to how she saw it last night.
Her mind thought what the hell she was getting herself into, knowing that what she was about to do is dangerous, that it somewhat put her life on the line. On the other hand...she was too curious to see what happens, forcing herself to climb into the passenger side.
When they took off, it was a blur of motion, the only thing in focus being the road, guiding them to wherever he needed to go.

They ended up by some fields, the only thing visible being a cemetery. Not questioning it, he climbed out, Athena following suit. Looking behind them, a trail of churned up concrete was in their wake.
"Holy shit..." She breathed when she was suddenly flown backwards into the tall grass. Landing hard on her back, she was hoisted up by a cold hand.

"It's a shame you came along..." A man whispered into her ear. Turning her to face them, her shoulders tensed up, remembering every bit of history of this monster. He won't stop until he gets what he wants..even if it means leaving a trail of bodies behind.

"Blackheart..." She seethed, getting him to smile.

"You have his heart." Before she could react, he touched her face, turning her skin a dark grey color. "Now I'm gonna break it."

Sean threw his chain, encircling his torso before yanking him away from Athena as she fell down. Not letting go, he dragged him closer.
"You're gonna burn for this." He said.

Blackheart chuckled. "Try all you want, rider. You know I won't stop until I get that contract I asked you to bring. Honestly..." He had him by the neck, his flames turning black once more. "I'm tired of waiting."

Quickly letting go, he suddenly vanished, but his voice lingered. "Bring me that contract to the town of Sanvangonza...or she dies."
Feeling his presence fade, Sean went to the spot where Athena fell.

But she was gone.
