Kuro walked out with his hood on his head, thinking, She just might fucking die. What if chemotherapy doesn't work?

He walked quicker and quicker til he made it to Ramen Hut, where Mr. Hiroyashi was sitting. "Another bowl of miso ramen please?"

Kuro got up on a barstool.

Mr. turned around. "Ah, Kuro. You're down in the dumps. Is everything ok?"

"It's Adara. She's in the hospital due to thyroid cancer, and it's all my fault... She was taking up for me against a trio of bullies, and she fainted due to fatigue."

Mr. H took a sip of his broth. "No, it wasn't your fault. It was the bullies' fault."

"I was too weak to stop them," he cried a bit.

"It's not that; it was the fact that you were jumped by a bunch of cowards. This Tsukasa guy is not an MMA fighter. He's actually a weakling that's big for no reason."

"Here's your bill," the cashier interrupted them.

"I'll pay," Kuro spoke up. "It's the least I could do, since you've been a father figure all my life."

He told said cashier, "Also, a large, to-go order of tonkatsu nuggets please."

"Right away, man."

Mr. Hiroyashi sighed and continued, "For a guy that's been sort of emotionless for most of his life, you do have some sort of empathy. I commend you." *pause* "I don't see why Tsukasa was even in trade school. Maybe it's because his parents made him."

"Maybe..."

"Meet me at the Fighting Dragons Gym this Saturday. If you have time, I'd like to train you." He gave him the address on a yellow slip of paper.

Kuro looked up at him. "Uhhh... Sure, sir."

"I get it, you're in awe because of the fact I asked you. Bring extra clothes and stuff." He got up and walked out. "I'll be seeing you there, and thanks for paying my bill."

Kuro looked up at the ceiling as he drank a huge swig of Sakura Red Bull (fictional flavour), thinking about his love interest, and the pain she's feeling.
