Kuro and Ayumi were walking down the street to the hospital.

She was excited, thanks to telling off her prick of a manager. "I'VE NEVER FELT SO ALIVE!"

Strangers were looking at her, like she was a sugar-crazed maniac. The had expressions on her face that read: "Don't drink too much caffeine, kids."

She calmed down, and turned to Kuro. "Thanks for helping me out there. Without Adara, I never had someone stand up for me before."

"You're welcome, Ayumi. I can't stand bullies. Thanks to Mr. Hiroyashi...that kinda rubbed off on me a bit."

"So what made you care so much about Adara, may I ask?"

"She cared for me. At the grocery store, when I was fatigued from all that running, she gave me water, but she had a smile that lit up the most stone-faced of people. She even stood up for me when I was fighting Tsukasa, despite her..."

"So you have feelings for Adara?" she interrupted.

"I do. I just didn't wanna tell her because I assumed she was with somebody, plus she looked like the type of girl that doesn't wanna go out with anybody."

"Adara was feeling the same about you. She just didn't wanna tell you. She has that timid feeling whenever she sees a guy she has admiration for. So far, you're that only guy. The reason why I say that is because she's been cheated on and bused by guys all her life. Tsukasa, that douchebag, is included."

"I'm no saint, but Tsukasa grinds my gears. I wonder why that filthy fuck was in college to begin with?"

"He needs a fuckin' beating. We all know he's actually a coward that's big for no apparent reason, especially since his yes-men came out the woodwork to beat you down. How are the wounds they landed on you? You ok?"

Kuro looked at the bruises they landed on his arm. They were a faint purple. Probably from healing. "I didn't know they were there. Either that, or the pain was somewhat numb."

They kept walking, only to approach the hospital that Adara was in.

Ayumi asked him, "So how's Kyushi?"

"He's going to the debate club. We're probably gonna go for ramen again. I also hope that Adara's ok..."

They walked through the double doors of said hospital. Kuro started to have a stomach full of knots, but he persevered through it, as if he wasn't feeling it so much.
