This is not a chapter so.....yeah. I'm just going to be talking about, I guess you can say obvious, things that happened in Chapter 4 and what I think of it.
In Chapter 4, Gonta was found guilty in the murder of Miu. At the end of the trial, Kokichi talked about how he didn't care Gonta was dead. Everyone thought he was an asshole for doing that but that was part of his plan.
His plan to end the killing game.
Kokichi spent a lot of time with Gonta as you could see whenever you would go to talk to Kokichi during free time. That means they did have some sort of relationship between them. It's still unknown if Kokichi thought of Gonta as a friend or not especially since he set up Gonta.
Kokichi couldn't get killed by Miu yet since he had to end the killing game so he got his good old "friend" Gonta to kill Miu.
Kokichi then told on Gonta and Gonta was executed. Kokichi said he just used Gonta to win the killing game just to get people to hate him. Of course, he did that on purpose.
Kokichi had to get everyone to hate him so they didn't feel bad or regret being mean to him when he killed himself to end the killing game. Though he failed, Shuichi was the only one who showed a bit of regret during the trial in Chapter 5.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm sure Kokichi would've wanted to save Gonta but he was the only person that Kokichi could really get close to since he didn't care that Kokichi lies a lot.
Anyway, Kokichi may be an asshole and many hate him (I just dislike him) he still is very interesting character and he does care about others even if he doesn't show it.
