"Come on lets get this back to our room princess." Freddy whispers, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear. Smiling, I nod and pull myself out of his embrace. This is something I never want to let go of. Freddy is my everything and without him I'm not sure what I'd do. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those girls whose whole life is centred around a guy and without him her world would collapse. But Freddy is a part of an elaborate web that I've spun, and without him a part of me would die.
It's scary as hell falling in love. But Freddy made it easy because he was there to catch me and I was there to cushion his fall. We both know that we're meant for each other and that we'll always be in the end together. If anything, our little argument today had proved that. He is my soul mate, my one and only, the sun to my moon.
Scooping me up into his arms bridal style, he marches into the elevator and uses my foot to press our floor button. Loud giggles erupt from my lips. "Put me down you big oaf."
"Fat chance of that ever happening." Freddy chuckles, giving me his signature smile. Heat creeps up my neck and blossoms on my cheeks. Damn this man gorgeous. Good thing he's already mine, because if he wasn't I'd sure as hell take him.
Reaching up with my hand I tug on his ear gently, earning a playful glare from Freddy. I laugh and once again tug on his ear, but this time he doesn't react. His face turns stony and the next thing I know I'm laying on the floor beside my confused boyfriend.
"Oh my god, are you okay?" I gasp, crawling over to him. He blinks up at me, like he's looking at someone he doesn't know. Fear pumps through my body and I shift on knees, pulling Freddy so he's sitting up. It takes me a minute because I'm so tiny compared to his massive body. Usually I live his muscles but now is an example of a time I wish he didn't work out so much.
"Freddy answer me, are you okay?" I ask again, cupping his face in my hands. He blinks again before shrugging out of my arms.
"I'm fine." He hisses, trying to stand up. But I push him back down, and he collapses back into my arms. The smiling Freddy from less than a minute ago is gone.
"What happened." My mind is racing, digging for answers that I know he won't give me even though he should. And his face isn't helping me either. I would expect him to be angry, or confused or at the very least upset. But his face is expressionless, his eyes staring at me, void of emotion.
"Nothing, I'm fine." He tells me again. But I don't believe him. Something happened and he's definitely not fine, I just don't have any clue what it could be. It sucks not being able to read his mind, once thing he joked about being able to do with me. But all jokes aside, I would give anything to see what he was thinking.
I cup his face in my hands and tilt his face upward, pressing my lips against his. It only takes a second before he's kissing me back, drawing me into him. "Freddy." I breath, trying to get him to stop.
He does. But pulls me so I'm straddling his lap. "I'm sorry princess." He whispers, brushing his nose against mine.
"What happened Freddy." I push, desperation flooding into my voice. Freddy leans back and looks at my face.
Giving me a smirk he says, "Maybe you just got too heavy for me." Anger floods into my stomach, why would he say that. I've spent the last few minutes worried about him, and he's joking about something so serious.
I abruptly stand up, using the wall of the elevator to push myself upright. "Don't joke about my weight it isn't funny. Especially after you just collapsed on the floor."
"Hey." Freddy says, his smirk turning into concern. And with his eyebrows drawn in, he stands up and clasps my hand in his. "I'm sorry if I upset you princess. I shouldn't have said that, you're so perfect and I shouldn't be the one to be putting untrue doubts in your mind. I love you."
Damn. I'll give it to him, this man was smooth as a baby's bottom. He knew just what to say to melt my heart.
Giving his hand a squeeze I say, "I love you too. But I'm serious Freddy, what happened."
"Nothing I'm fine Summer, I'm must've just blanked for a second and my knees collapsed." He tells me, giving me a convincing smile. I'll believe he's fine, but I won't believe that explanation. I open my mouth to fire another question but Freddy's hand covers my mouth.
"Not now princess, I believe we still have an appointment in my room to keep." He winks, tapping my ass gently before walking out of the now opened elevator doors.
