Mia's POV
James and Frankie walk to us and stand a few feet in front of Brady and me. The only encounter I had with James was when the rogues attacked the pack, but we never spoke to one another. Brady is soon out of my hold and shakes James's hand.
"Gamma James,"
They nod at each other in a professional manner and absolute respect. I give a small smile to James and he gives one back.
"Mia, what are you doing out here? Alpha won't be too happy knowing you are out there. Anyway, what did you all need? As you can tell I am in a bit of a busy situation of training our finest warriors for any other future attacks like last one." said James.
"Well, Xavier's body has been found and Luca needs some assistance from you and your mate," Brady speaks.
James clears his throat with shock and looks back at the warriors. He turns his head to face us once more before jogging to the hundreds of werewolves.
"Warriors of the Wood's Pack! I shall put Frankie, son of Beta Blake, and Beta Monica in charge of the rest of your training today. There has been something urgent that has come up!" He shouts.
"Wait what?" Frankie said confused.
James sprints back to us and winks at Frankie then glares at Brady.
"I do not think Alpha would like it if Mia was left alone with many mate less wolves, and I certainly do not trust Brady to be near the warriors. You are my only choice, you have seen me train them before anyway. So, you are in charge. Mia, Brady, let's go back to my house. Lena should be there working."
Frankie scoffs then blows a small raspberry as the rest of us make out way to a small hut that is a few minutes away from where we stood.
We make it there in no time and the small house is beautiful. It is blue with large windows illuminating the walls of the entire home. There are large wood and metallic doors in the front and side of the house which shone brightly in the sunlight.
James opened the front door of his house and I walked in right after with Brady trailing in like a lost puppy. I gasped when I saw many pictures hanging all over the yellow-painted walls including wedding pictures, baby pictures, and even pictures of...me.
"Lena!" James calls out for his mate.
We follow closely until we make it into a small living room with no T.V. but instead a large bookcase replacing it. A large leather couch is in the middle of the room and I take a seat on it. Brady continues to stand by the open doorway that leads into the living room. He leans on the frames and looks at the room intently.
"Lena?" James calls out again.
Finally, a woman with beautiful brown skin and short brown hair walks into the living room. She jumps into James's arms and leaves a small feathered kiss on his cheek.
"What are you doing home early? I haven't even started cooking yet, I just came back from the Packhouse visiting Diana."
Her light brown eyes light up when she notices my presence. Her jaw opens a bit and she tries to find words but seems to be tongue-tied.
"J-James?" She looks shocked and points to me, "Is it really who I think it is? Is that Mia?"
She begins to tear up and rushes to give me a big hug. I could sense a wave of relief washing over her when I was soon in her arms. James has a small smile on his face when he sees the strong embrace his mate was giving me.
"I-I thought I was going crazy when the rogue attack happened. I thought I saw you but I didn't think of it to be true. How in the hell did you get here?"
