Mia's POV

The Pack was so empty without anyone here except for Uncles Daniel, Alex, and Aiden along with Brady and I. There was not much we could do but worry our asses off for our families who were sacrificing their lives to make sure our Packs would remain standing after all of this. I took this time to explore and noticed many things I hadn't before.

Did you know Aunt Diana and Uncle Luca had a patio coming out of their bedroom? Because I am sure as hell didn't. I made it deeper into the pack seeing werewolves walking around like it was a regular day like nothing was happening. It was crazy to know that I had never even known about all of this because Mom and Dad never wanted me to find out.

There was a road that was lined up with houses making it look like a small town, it seemed as if we weren't even in the forest at this point, the only proof was the trees that surrounded the houses and the earthly ground.

"Mia!" I heard someone call for me.

My hand went up to my heart as soon as I turned around flinching at the sudden appearance of Uncle Daniel. He pulled me into a side hug messing my hair up with a noogie. I tried to force myself out of his hold smacking his chest as a joke.

He finally released me laughing so loud the birds flew away from the trees. He fixed his own dark blonde hair pushing it back off of his forehead.

"Come on! Uncle Aiden made some pasta, you must be starving," He linked his arm with mine starting to lead us back to the Packhouse. He was right, I was absolutely hungry. Ever since I had come to the Woods Pack I hardly ate anything and my slim figure just seemed to thin out more than it already was. Dad always said I needed to add some meat onto my bones but Mom usually smacked him in the head telling him it was better than getting his sausage-like thumbs.

"Pasta sounds so good right now, any chance he made his famous garlic bread?"

Uncle Daniel winked putting his head closer to mine, "You know it," He whispered.

Once we made it back to the Packhouse I stepped on my heel taking off my first shoe then doing the same with the other. The door was still full of bullet holes leaving small rays of sunlight to make its way into the house. Uncle Daniel went into the kitchen dramatically kicking the door open.

"Damn, I am so f*cking hungry!" He exclaimed.

Brady skipped down the stairs wearing the same sweats he'd worn for the past two days and the yellow sweatshirt he had given me on the plane ride which felt like forever ago. I hid behind the staircase watching him inhale the air. He knew I was near looking around to see where I was. Once his back was facing me I pounced on him jumping on his back.

I laughed so loud when he almost fell face first but caught himself gripping his hands on the back of my thighs. I could see his smile grow when he heard my laugh.

"What are you doing?" He asked me.

I just clung onto his back snuggling into him and pointed to the kitchen door, "Let's eat some pastaaaa," I sang off-key.

I hadn't felt this happy in so long but everything just felt...right at this moment like I was on my high never wanting to come down. Everything just seemed so perfect at this exact moment. I was with the people I loved, well most of them and we were finally going to have a normal dinner together.

"Alright babe, let's go eat pasta." He giddily said.

We are in the kitchen and the vibe changed as fast as it came. Kaylin was sitting in the last chair across the dining table with her hair in a ponytail. She looked like she took a shower and I burned my eyes into her clothes seeing they weren't the same as before.
