Brady's POV

I sniff deeply and move my hands around the couch to see if Mia was still there. She had gone to use the bathroom ten minutes ago and I was starting to worry. I sniff the air a little more and seem to lose her scent as soon as I am sitting up on the couch.

"Mia?" I call out.

I was beginning to worry about her and I couldn't help but get a bad feeling in my gut. I run my fingers in my blonde hair and blink my eyes to clear up the foggy vision of the darkroom.

"Mia!" I yell a bit louder.

There was no response causing me to sprint around the house looking in closets, rooms, the kitchen, and even the bathroom. She was nowhere to been seen and I could feel myself having a hard time breathing. I was getting anxiety rising in me when I thought about all the reasons why she may have left.

What if I wasn't good enough for her and she finally realized it? What if she was kidnapped while using the bathroom? Oh no. It's all my fault, I should have been there to make sure she made it there safely and back. Shit. Shit, this is ALL my fault.

I could feel myself shifting slightly as loud roars and howls leave my lips. My eyes were darkening while my canines are soon out in a swift motion. James rushes down the stairs with Lena trailing hot behind him.

"Woah, Woah what is going on?" He tries to calm me down a bit.

"Mia! I-I can't find Mia. I need to find her NOW!"

"We will find her. Let's go to the Packhouse. Maybe she went there. Let's go let Alpha King know right away."

I am quick to run to the Packhouse and make it there before James and Lena before nearly breaking the door open. Luca growled a bit and urged forward but calmed down when he realized it was me.

"What the F*ck is going on? What are you doing?"

"It's Mia. She's missing." James answers for me from behind me.

Luca roared and comes close to me snarling with frustration. He pulls at the ends of his hair with stress and seems to think about what was going on.

"Awe shit. She must have followed Diana to find Xavier. How could I have missed this? We need to find both of them. I knew I shouldn't have let Diana go on her own. I should have known Mia wouldn't let her go on her own."

A small tug of fear pulls on my heart when I think about the endless possibilities about why she would have done such a thing. Why would she leave without telling me? Maybe because I would have stopped her?

"I am going to go and find her. There are many rogues trying to kill you, Luca. If they find Diana and Mia, they both will die. Diana would have been fine on her own, but with Mia, their scents will only make it easier for rogues to find them."

"I am coming with you."

We nod at each other and I rush outside pushing past James while taking off any article of clothing that was on me. The burning sensation of my bones shifting into my wolf starts to devour my body and I can hear Luca doing the same thing as me.

I stick my tongue out feeling the cold air then sprint my way off of the Pack territory with Luca hot on my trail. I howl at the moon trying to find where my Mia was. My breaths were getting quick and heavy as large pants of air and saliva left my snout.

Another howl was heard loudly next to me indicating that Luca was also trying to let his mate know that he was on his way. We searched the entire forest we were and had found nothing so far. I was restless and my fear of losing Mia was growing more as there was no trace of her anywhere.
