How it all happened

Chapter one

Kokichi's POV
We had just finished the ritual and Tenko Chabashira and Angie Yonaga were found dead. While Shuichi investigated the room I decided to go look for clues in the other rooms. I checked in the closest room to the entrance of the hall. I found that the rooms were in fact the same as I had once thought.When I was done I walked towards the very back room to see if anything was different but while i was walking i felt my body slowly falling onto the ground. I tried to stop myself but it was too late...
When I woke up I looked around. I didn't know where I was. I was laying on the ground in a very dark place. I slowly lifted my leg to get up and I felt a piece of wood slowly fall down. Looks like I fell through that floorboard. Stuff like that always happens to me so i was pretty used to it. I slowly got up but I felt something cold on my forehead. I used my hand and wiped my forehead. I saw blood and I was very dizzy.
"Wow...did i really hit my head that hard..?"
I tried to wipe the blood completely off my forehead then I looked at my sleeve to see how much blood there was. Wait! My clothes are different! Where is my school uniform I was just wearing and how did I get these on?
"I was probably kidnapped by creeps..." I shivered at the thought. Either way I'm in new clothes and I have no idea where I am. I tried to think about all the possibilities but I was disrupted by a door closing which made me start shaking in fear. I grabbed my arms and slowly inched toward the wall.
"Go away go away go away go away" i kept saying in my head while i was shaking and trying to stop my tears from coming down. I slowly kneeled down and laid my head in my knees rocking back and forth.
"Please go away.." I mumbled to myself.
"So where should we investigate now?" a familiar voice said. I couldn't tell who it was though.
"Well I wanted to investigate her research lab if you didn't mind" another familiar voice.
I have definitely heard this one before but it wasn't as harsh as it normally was. It was sweeter and more calm. I looked up and I saw Shuichi and Maki walking and talking to each other then when they got closer they looked at me. Shuichi had a confused expression and Maki looked very scary...wait..Maki and shuichi...MAKI AND SHUICHI!!!
I got up quickly, stumbling a little and hugged shuichi tightly.
"Sh-shuichi your h-h-here!"
I hugged him with tears coming out of my eyes again. I was so happy that I wasn't alone! I had shuichi now!
'U-uh k-kokichi!?" He sounded different.
I let go of him a little and looked up. He was wearing something different and he was blushing slightly. He looked like shuichi but he was different from the one I know. I backed up quickly looking at him.
"W-who are you?" He looked at me surprised then at maki then back at me. maki...MAKI!! I quickly grabbed shuichi's arm and dragged him away from her. They both just looked at me confused.
"Y-you don't remember? She always bullies me and you p-protect me from her. She e-even p-p-punched you one time!"
he just looked at me confused but maki was mad. She stormed up to me but I hid behind shuichi.
"Stop making stuff up about us! We obviously know you're lying!" she yelled at me.
I just held onto shuichi tighter with tears falling down my face again. Why isn't shuichi doing anything like he usually does? What is going on?!
"M-maki stop! I don't think this is the kokichi we know" He looked back at me and then he looked sure of what he just said.
"Huh?" maki said standing down a little but she was still glaring at me.
"It sounds crazy but...i'm sure of it. This isn't our usual kokichi. Something must have happened" not our usual kokichi? What was that supposed to mean? Before I could think about it more, Shuichi turned around to face me and gave me a sweet smile. This definitely isn't the shuichi i knew but...i felt safer and more calm around this one. I liked this one a lot more.
