The "I Nailed It"

So far more than 15 people step up to the dance floor but only 3 got invited.

"huhhh" I sighed causing Nick to stare at me while raising an eyebrow

"What , I'm waiting for the right time to get on stage" I said then I heard him chuckle "Well that's not how things work around here.You have to be picked to get on stage" he stated.

"What why didn't you tell me before!" I snapped.

"You didn't ask" he replied. I ignored him and focused on how to make myself stand out in the crowd so that I get picked.

"You there" Dori said while pointing towards me.

"Mmm..me" I was startled.

"Yeah" Dori said.

Nick's POV

I heard Nicole sighed heavily so I turned my attention to her , maybe she's bored and changed her mind about getting an invitation I thought. I kept staring at her gorgeous face and realised that her eyelashes are quite long.

"What , I'm waiting for the right time to get on stage" she said.

"tskk" This girl really is clueless I thought. "Well that's not how things work around here.You have to be picked to get on stage" I told her. She was completely shocked to what I said.

"What why didn't you tell me before!" She yelled.

"You didn't ask". I said cooly but she ignored me. I didn't want her to be mad at me for not telling her earlier and making her wait for 40 minutes to get on stage.

So I signaled Dori who is busy eyeing the next person to go on stage. Dori saw me and mouthed "what?" "her" I mouthed back while pointing down to Nicole who's shorter than me. (Actually Nicole is 171 cm tall but Nick is 187 cm tall).

I saw Nicole got picked by Dori and I can tell that she was suprised.

"Hey man" I heard someone said to me from behind.

I turned back to see Luke holding two bottles of beer before handing one to me.

"Oh hey man" I replied.

"What's up" he said.

"Nothing just babysitting a neighbour" I lied then turned my attention to Nicole who's getting on stage (I actually like having Nicole around me and I like being friend with her).

"That's her?" Luke asked me.

"Yeah.. pretty hot huh?" I replied.

"Burning man. Is she taken?" he asked me.

"I'm not sure" I replied. What! luke is actually interested in her? I thought.

I was making my way up on stage when I heard boys whistling and cheering.

I kinda like this attention. I thought to myself.

Once I was up on stage I saw Dori signalling the DJ. I was ready! I did all the mind control exercise to avoid myself from feeling nervous when I look at the audience well In this case crowd.

Suddenly that perverted DJ put on the Pussycat Dolls (Buttons). And the boys in the crowd started to go crazy and making wolf noises.

"WTH" I mouthed to Nick when I saw another guy standing next to him. I was pretty sure that that person was not there before.

"Well?" I heard Dori asked in an annoyed tone.

"Sorry what?" I asked her.

"Are you gonna dance or not?" she asked while crossing her hands on her chest.

"Can I request for a non-sexual appeal song please?" I pleaded.

"Fine" she said then signalled the DJ to change the song.

The song was changed to T-Pain (Church) the song they used in Step Up 2.

The perfect part came and I started dancing to hip hop and shaking my butt at suitable parts (making me glad that I took salsa lessons when I was 13). The crowd was going out of control when I did a little b-boying that Johnny thought me. The chorus came so I took the oppotunity to show off my skills so I did various types of gymnastics moves and did a 6 turn Pirouette(the cycle spin that we do in ballet) and ending the spin with a right-split.

I was out of breath by the time I stopped dancing.

"You're invited" Dori said through the mic while handing me an invitation card.

"Thanks" I said with a huge grin.

"Okay next!" Dori said to the crowd as I make my way off the stage.

"You're hot" a stanger said to me "ahmm Thanks" I replied with a smile.

"Good job up there" an asian girl said to me. "Thank you" I replied.

"Nicole!" I heard Nick shouted and gestured his hand calling me to go over to him.

Nick's POV

Nicole did couple of amazing stunts on stage that really suprised me. The crowd was going wild when she was dancing. "Who is she?" Dori came up to me and said. "Nicole Applement my new neighbour" I replied. "You mean David Applement?" she asked. "Yes and that's his daughter who just moved in today from London" I replied while pointing my lips to Nicole."So that explains the accent" Dori said while chucking.

"You going to invite her?" Luke asked Dori (I almost forgot that Luke was standing next to me).

"Maybe" Dori answered.

"Cmon Dori help me out here" Luke said while pouting his mouth. (obviously he was into Nicole).

"We'll see" Dori said.

Nicole's dance ended so me and Luke decided to move away from the crowd and wait for her there.

"Hey . Nick right?" a petite asian girl said to me.

"Yeah whats up?" I replied.

"I'm Fei and I was just wondering if I can get your number and we can maybe hang out sometime?" she said.

"Sure" I said then gave her my number before saying goodbye to her. Luke was busy texting on his phone.

"Nicole!" I shouted when I saw her looking around. I gestured her to come over.

"How'd I do Nick?" I asked full with excitement.

"Not bad Apple" he replied.

"tsk not bad? I nailed it Nicholas" I said sarcasticly.

"I know! you totally owned the stage" he said before hugging me.

"I guessed I won the challenge huh?" I asked.

"yeah" he said then sighed heavily.

"What do I get as a prize?" I asked with pride.

"When did we make that agreement?" He replied with a grin.

"Oh come on!" I yelled.

"Okay fine.. One wish" he stated.

"ahemm.." A person behind Nick cleared his throat.
