   Two weeks.

Two weeks of house arrest for everyone.

I thought house arrest was over, but no!

These idiots had to go and make themselves fugitives.

Not to mention I'm a missing persons case that all of the United States knows about now.

During these two weeks, I've kept myself busy by texting and calling Ophelia non-stop. I'm finally cleared to go on hunts again, but who knows how long it'll be before either of us are allowed to leave the bunker.

   "I've got a case."

   Guess not too long.

"I thought you were fugitives and I'm a kidnapped minor?" I ask as Dean walks in, clearly skeptical.

"We'll just have to be careful, I guess." He responds.

   "What's the case?"

"Guy got suckered to death by what looks like an octopus."

"An octopus?" I ask, thinking I heard him wrong.

"Yup. Left suction marks all over his body." He explains.

   "What the fuck?" I whisper.

________

"So, the mom didn't know anything. No cold spots. She did say she thought there was something going on with the nanny, though." Sam says when we get back to the car, on the phone with Dean.

"Nanny didn't know anything either. But, she said the daughter doesn't like closets. Drives people nuts saying there's a monster in it. Dad missed her birthday too, so she was mad at him." Dean replies.

"Birthday wish gone wrong?" I ask.

   "Seems like it." Dean replies.

"I've got eyes on the daughter right now. I'll go talk to her." Sam says, getting out of the car.

Dude's gonna set off an amber alert.

"Uh, dad, don't you think it's better if I do it so you don't look like a creep?"

"Like you'd look any better." Sam scoffs.

"They'd think I'm just a friendly neighbor girl." I shrug. Sam sighs and gets back into the car, allowing me to do it.

I step out of the car and walk towards the girl. She sits on the pavement with chalk in her hand, concentrated on the artwork at hand.

"Hey." I smile at her, putting on my most friendly voice. "What're you working on there?" I ask. She stops drawing and looks up at me.

"I know who you are." She says. I nod awkwardly.

   "You do?"

"You're with the guys that talked to my mom." She states. I look towards Sam, who was watching us with curious eyes.

"Uh, yeah. One of them is my dad." I tell her. A voice calls her name from inside. She looks towards the house quickly, almost scared.

"Something wrong?" I ask. She looks back to me.

"My mom will get mad at me if I talk to you." I slowly crouch down to her level.

   "Why's that?" I ask.

   You're a stranger, dumbass.

"Because of what I told the police." She says quickly. My eyebrows furrow.

"What'd you tell them?" She looks down a the ground, hesitating.

"I told them that I tried to warn my dad. That the monster would get him." The door opens and I quickly stand back up and look at the worried mother.

"Kelly! Come here, now." She says sternly, Kelly turning her head to look at her mother. She quickly stands up and her mother opens the door for her before staring at me.

"Sorry...didn't mean to startle you. I was just passing by when I saw her drawing. I love art and this looks cool..." I trail off, looking down at the chalk. A picture of an octopus with big, sharp, teeth, is drawn on the ground.

"Uh, she-she's got real potential." I finish before she closes the door. I wait until she was gone before hopping into the car with Sam.

________

Sam's phone starts ringing, awakening me from my sleep. Sam walks over and grabs the phone, answering it.

"No, dude, I hated that place." He responds to whoever's on the other line. I sit up and rub my eyes. "You would dump me there and go trolling for chicks."

   Sounds traumatic.

"Fun? They're lame. And they smell like puke. And the ice cream is all grainy."

Sounds like that one pizza place that I was terrified of.

He hangs up the phone and turns to me.

"What was that?" I ask groggily.

"Dean. There was another death. Stabbed right in the heart through a piece of wood. There were hoof prints in the ground."

   "Like... a unicorn?"

"That's what it looks like." Sam shrugs.

"Get dressed, theres a lead that we need to follow." He says, throwing my pair of jeans that I had left on the ground at me. I pick it up and go into the bathroom, changing into the ripped jeans and grey hoodie. I walk out after putting my hair up and grab a black jean jacket, layering it on top.

"It's not even cold out, what's with the layers?" Sam laughs as I slip my black and white checkered Vans on.

"It's called fashion. Learn a thing or two." I remark, grabbing the keys off the table and throwing them to him. He catches them, and we head out the door.
