Neji POV

"We should stop here for the night."I say dropping my stuff down.

"Yeah."Temari drops her stuff as well.

"I'm hungry."I groan.

"Aren't we all?"Gaara asks rudely.

"Don't be a meanie,Panda-kun!"Himaru says wrapping her arms.

"Whatever,you're the one who was blushing!"I snap back.

"I was not blushing!"He scoffs.

"Uh yeah you were."Temari says with an anime vain.

I smirk at his defeat and continue making our tent.

"Himaru,what's for dinner?"I ask.

She anime falls.

"Am I the only one who brought food?Cuz I wasn't planning on sharing ALL of it!"She whines.

"I could've sworn I told temari to tell you to bring extra food."

"Oopsie."

"What?Why me?"I work hard for the money for my food."

"Okay,Himaru,"I say."We'll all starve."

"You better."Himaru replies,crossing her arms.

Himaru POV

It was about 10:30 I think.
Temari and Neji and Gaara were asleep.Temari was in our tent and Neji in theirs.

Gaara,was laying his head on a log for some unknown reason.
I watch him for like 10 minutes.
His chest slowly rising up and down.My eyes keep on flickering up to his lips.I hover over him and before I know it,my lips are on his.
His eyes shoot open and his sand pushes me away.

"What were you doing?!"He yells.

Uh oh...

"I was..I didn't-I thought you were asleep."I stutter.

"Do not ever do that again in your life!"He warns.

"Okay,I won't."I murmur.

"Good,you better not do it,"He repeats sternly as he walks closer to me with his face centimeters away from mine."Unless I'm the one who does it to you."He then presses his lips against mine.

I know by the change in the voice that this not at all Gaara.
This was the reason everyone feared him and ran.

It was Shukaku.

He jerks away.

"You did again."He says angrily.

"It wasn't me!It was Shukaku!"I whisper-shout.

"Reasonable.Don't develop feelings for me.The more you do,the more of a monster you'll see I am."

"You aren't a monster!"I protest."Nothing of the sort.You are only different.People are scared of things they don't understand,but i understand you."

"You seem to care a lot for me."

"I do."I reply.

He then,brushes a few strands of hair out of my face and holds my cheek.With that he gently presses his lips against mine and I know that this is Gaara.

"Awwwwwwwww!"Temari gushes.

I immediately pull away and blush deeply.

Shit.

"Way to go Temari.You blew our cover."Neji sighs.

THEY WERE AWAKE?!?!

"I hate you both."I say stomping into my tent and zipping it up.
