Joe's group walked around for a while before getting to a garage where cars were inside. Jamie, being Len's little sister and the only female of the group, rolled her eyes as everyone claimed a car.

She hated the claimed rule, but hey, whatever gets people through this world. She then snuck a glance at the new guy, Daryl. He seemed different from the others, even though the guys in the group would seem to be the kind that he would've grown up around. She liked him and what he stood for. Even when one of the guys tried to get in her pants, he stopped it and let's just say that guy didn't come near her again. She smiled, knowing she had a bit of protection around here now, none of which came from her older brother.

Everyone laid down in their car or in Daryl's case, the floor.

"Care to make room for one more?" Jamie asked him.

"Sure," Daryl nodded.

As she was about to lay down, Len spoke up.

"Jamie, you're staying in my car," he commanded.

She rolled her eyes and faced him, saying, "No. I'm not, Len. You claimed your place. I'm claiming mine."

"You said the claiming was stupid. So get over here," Len stated, his anger showing.

But Jamie didn't care as she said, "But now I see the little bit of freedom I have with it. So I claim the floor with Daryl and you get a brand new car. So now tell me if I think it's stupid."

Daryl couldn't help but snort at that. Len seethed as he just sat back in his car. Jamie smirked and laid beside Daryl.

Once everyone was asleep, they decided to make conversation.

"That was cool what you did to your brother," Daryl said.

"Eh. I never really did anything like that before. It felt good. And I learned it from you," Jamie told him.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yeah. Joe's group always saw me as a play thing. I'd show them I wasn't, but it only resulted in beatings. Less than the ones that others got when they were killed, but still. Len never helped me. Big brothers are supposed to look out for their little sisters, but he's never done that, even before the world went to hell," Jamie explained.

"I know what you mean," Daryl replied, making her look at him, then he said, "My older brother, Merle, wasn't there for me either. He was in the army and a drug dealer. Then when all this happened, he got himself in trouble with the guy who's been more like a brother to me than anything, resulting in him being handcuffed to the roof in Atlanta. They left him, but when we went back, all that was left of him was his right hand. A couple years went by and I found him in this place called Woodbury. It was run by this guy called the Governor and my brother was his first in command. When we saw each other face to face for the first time in years, we were forced to fight to the death. But luckily, my group got us out, but since they wouldn't let Merle come back with us, we went out on our own. Then one thing led to another and we were back with our people. Then when he tried to take the Governor out on his own, he was killed by a gunshot to the chest and I had to put down his walker form. He came through in the end; maybe your brother will too."
