Daryl paced the floor, thinking about how he was gonna tell Jamie how he felt. Sure, they've known each other since they were in middle school and he started having feelings for her as he figured that she was frickin awesome since the outbreak, but he thought she never saw him as more than a friend. But he thought that it would be better to get this off his chest than to hide it for another few years.

So he left his cell and looked for her until he found her talking to Carol.

"Hey, J. Hey, Carol," he told them.

"Hey Pookie," Carol smirked, making him look down a little.

Jamie giggled before asking, "What's up, Dare?"

He looked up and told her, "I'm goin' on a run. Wanna come?"

"Sure," Jamie nodded.

They said their goodbyes to Carol then they went to his motorcycle and rode off.

Daryl knew a good spot to do this, so once he got there, he slowed the motorcycle to a stop.

"This is a weird place for a run," Jamie commented.

"That's because we're not here for a run," Daryl said as he got off the bike.

"Then what are we doing here?" she wondered.

"Come on," he said, offering a hand to her.

She took it and he helped her up before taking her to the spot.

They went a little further until they came to a clearing that was beautiful.

"Wow. Daryl, where did you find this place?" she asked.

"I found it on the run with Maggie when we got formula for Judith," he answered.

"So why'd you bring me here?" Jamie wondered with a smile.

"Because I felt like it was a good place to tell you something," Daryl answered.

He took both of her hands and took a deep breath.

"You know I'm not good at opening up, but I felt I needed to tell you this because I've held it in for a few years," he started then said as he looked down at the ground, "I...I like you. A lot. And I want you to be my girl."

Jamie's eyes widened a little and her mouth was ajar as she processed what he said. She had no idea that Daryl felt this way, but she knew she did. She gently lifted his face up to hers and she kissed his lips, making him a little shocked. But he eventually eased into it and wrapped his arms around her frame. She leaned back a bit, but kept his lips to hers, cupping his face. When they parted, they just rested their foreheads against each other and panted lightly.

"Who are you and what happened to Daryl Dixon?" she asked.

He chuckled and said, "He finally grew a pair."

Jamie laughed a bit then told him, "I like you too, Dare. I've been waiting to be your girl for a while now."

"Well good, 'cause you're no one else's. Understand?" Daryl said sternly, but trying to hide a smirk.

"Loud and clear," she smirked, kissed him, then pointed out, "We might wanna bring something back for the group."

"Yeah. Let's go," Daryl nodded.

They then went back to his bike and they took off to get some supplies.
