Brooklyn

Walking down the street, I started laughing at what Kim said. The two of us had a day off and wanted to have a girls day. After the whole police benefit, Intelligence has been dragged the mud before getting run over.

No one has gotten enough sleep, we didn't really have enough time to breath. The higher ups pushed all of their cases to Intelligence to solve, because they didn't want to deal with it. Hours on end I spent on the computer, to the point where I got very sick. Of course I didn't say anything, and powered through migraines for days.

Now things have lessened, we started solving things left and right, everything was back on track. Kim and I just happen to be the lucky two who didn't have to go in. I would have went in but Hank knew I was pushing myself to hard and told me I had the day off. I was going to be stubborn, only I knew I needed a break.

"Please tell me you got video of Ruzek drunk dancing on the table". Unable to keep our laughter at bay, we had to hold onto one another so we wouldn't fall over in the middle of the sidewalk. Imagery of Adam standing on top of a table, drunk out of his wits and singing karaoke just brightened my day.

Getting enough control of our laughter, and brushing away the tears that fell from laughing to much, the woman beside me sent the video. "Oh he so getting blackmailed in the future". Continuing our adventure down the street, her telling me more of Adam's drunken adventures, when a sense of something being off caught my attention.

Noticing the brunette having the same feeling, we looked around the area, trying to figure out what was going on. Subconsciously Kim reached for the gun on her hip. We may have the day off, but things happen when you are supposed to relax, it's always good to be prepared. Slowly carrying on our way, we kept out heads on a swivel.

A sound of a car's break screeching against the road trying to stop quickly, before the two of us could do anything a hand wrapped around my mouth to keep my screaming muffled. Seeing Kim being held the same way, I started to squirm in this guys hold. Not breathing due to the chance of chloroform being on the cloth, I elbowed the guy as hard as I could to get out of his grasp.

Slamming my head backwards effectively knocking the guy over, I was about to make my way towards Kim when another set of hands wrapped around my waist yanking me into the van. Punching me across the face harshly I hit the ground with a thud, Turning my head slightly I saw the brunette woman being tossed into the van, unconscious.

Trying to crawl over to her, to make sure she was still breathing, a hand grabbed my hair smashing my head against the van's wall. Pain rang through my head, before my world went pitch black.

--------

A cold sensation being wrapped around my hand forced my eyes open. Blinking rapidly, fear flew through my body seeing I was suspended in the air by chains. Trying to move my wrist, caught sight of Kim on the ground, her hands shackled around the pole. As her green eyes met mine. "Kim, are you ok"

Ignoring the pounding sensation I felt in my head, I kept my gaze on the woman. "Yeah, but I'm not the one being hung from the ceiling". Taking a few seconds to look around the room, we found ourselves trapped in a warehouse of some kind.

Glancing up at my bound hands, I could feel the metal cuffs starting to dig into my skin. Wincing softly, I tried move my hands in a better position but nothing seems to be working. Leaning my head back to get some tension off my neck, Kim was canvasing the space to find anything we can use to get out.

Before anymore words could be exchanged between us, footsteps traversed closer to us. Trying not to show the fear in my eyes, I stared at the man walking towards us. One dressed in police attire, followed by one whose arms were covered in tattoos. Recognizing the uniformed man as one of the people Hank introduced me to, a scowl emerged onto my face.

Temporarily ignoring Kim he made a beeline to me, a smirk playing on his face. "Well it looks like we got lucky. The sergeant will do just about anything to save you". As he raised his hand towards my face to caress it mockingly, I bit his hand. Biting hard enough to draw blood, I released it when he winced in pain.

"You are messing with the wrong person. The second Voight finds out you kidnapped me, he will ran hell on this town and there is no where you can hide to protect you". Not liking my answer, a stinging feeling struck across my face as he slapped me..

"Well you got nothing to say darling, I have all the power here. You and your friend got nowhere to go.". Rolling my eyes at the man, all I could do was return the smirk. He really has no clue who just messed with. The second Hank finds out that I was taken with Kim, he will turn into the person that he was so scared of me to see.

Leaving the room after being punched in the gut, I sucked in a deep breath. We really need to get out of here. Tugging on the chains slightly, I spotted my phone on the table next to a ton of knives and such. "Kim do you hear anything". Allowing silence to envelope the room for a few minutes, we tried to find any distinct sounds but there was none to be heard.

Just as I was about to attempt getting my phone and knocking it to Kim, the door opened once again but there was no Dante. Two men who were known to be apart of one the gangs. Seeing one make his way to Burgess and grab her hair roughly, I watched helpless as she whimpered in pain.

Knives scraping across one another and whimpers sounded through the empty space. Keeping my eyes on the figure stalking over towards me, a large knife in his hand , I held a strong facade. I was deeply terrified, but as long as Kim doesn't get hurt, I was ok with what was about to happen. "It's show time"

Shooting him a look that could kill, I sneered at him "Go to hell". The next few minutes would become a living nightmare. Swiping the knife along my stomach, I did everything in my power not to scream out, but as he applied more pressure I did. Kim's cries out forced my eyes to look at her. "Block it out Kim, I'm fine"

Blood started to roll down my body as more wounds were being placed on my already scarred skin. No matter how hard I tried to keep my screams to a minimum, it didn't work. Shutting my eyes tightly, trying to think about something else beside the pain, I prayed Hank knew something was wrong.

Only what I didn't know was that this whole thing was being recorded and sent to Hank as leverage. To kill him.
