Deep in one of the biggest forests in Fiore, if you listened close, you could head the pants and ragged breathing of a man and the small whimpers of an infant in his arms. Once he figured he was deep enough in the woods, he stopped walking and looked down at the baby in his arms. He smirked evily and layed the child on the ground. He left her no food, no water, not even a blanket to cover herself with.
As he began to walk away, the infant started to cry. His smirk only grew wider. As he continued to walk, he didn't feel the least bit guilty. All he felt, was glad that he got rid of the brat that was taking up so much of his wife's time. At two months old, the child was nothing more than a nuisance and he hated her.
Little did he know, as he walked away without glancing back at the child he had left for dead, holes were being burned into his back by two eyes filled with rage and hatred directed at the man, but then, looking at the child, they felt sympathy and sadness.
As the man walked away, they came out of their hiding spot in the woods and looked down at the small child who continued to cry. They picked the baby up with warm and gentle arms. The infant immediately felt comforted and at piece. As she opened her chocolate brown eyes, they were met by beautiful purple eyes and long brown hair. The baby stared into her eyes for a moment until drowsiness took over and she yawned.
"Sleep now, little one. When you wake, I promise you, you will not be alone." With that, the child fell into a deep slumber.
A Few Hours Later
"Draco, look at her. That man left her out there to die. I couldn't just leave her." Someone said.A man sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. He knew his wife was stubborn and had a very kind and good heart. He cracked a smile and said, "Can I see her?"
The woman smiled brightly and picked up the infant off of some blankets she had layed her on. She walked over to her husband as she cooed and smiled gently at the baby. All the child did was giggle and give a toothless grin in return.
The husband, seeing his wife so happy, couldn't help but immediately fall in love with the small child knowing that she was the one bringing her so much happiness.
The man, Draco, walked over to them and looked down at the baby curiously. The baby saw him out of the corner of her eyes and turned her head to look at him. When she got a better look at him, she tilted her head to the side, as if she was studying him.
Draco watched as the baby let out a small giggle, apparently deciding she liked him. He grinned back, not realizing that his wife was watching him with a smirk on her face, relishing in the fact that she knew her husband so well.
Draco took one of the baby's tiny hands and the she tightened her grip on his finger, as if saying, "Don't go." He sighed and looked to his wife who was watching him with a pleading look. "Alright Melody. I guess we can keep her." The woman, Melody, smiled brightly and had an excited look in her eyes.
"You here that! He said you can stay!" She said at the baby. Although she didn't entirely know what was going on, she couldn't help but giggle at her newly found mother's excitement.
Draco chuckled and asked, "Do you even have a name picked out for her? If not, she'll probably need one."
The woman looked at the baby girl thoughtfully, then she turned to her husband and said, "Lucy. Lucy Harmony Aerouant."
"I like the name, but why?"
"You are one of the living symbols for Celestial Magic and it is mostly made of light. Lucy means light. Harmony because of my own magic and then I just gave her our last name."
