Lucy's POV
As Natsu and Happy practically dragged me towards the large building, I couldn't help but immediately feel as if my life was taking a turn for the better. I allowed a smile to appear on my face as the dragon slayer dragged me up the steps to the large wooden doors. He kicked them open with enough force to almost make them hit the walls they are attached to.The second the doors were open, a chair came flying our way. Fortunately, I ducked in time to dodge it. Unfortunately, that meant Natsu was hit in the face because he chose to let me walk in first.
I was barely able to keep myself from laughing at the look on his face. He was pissed. Soon enough, he got up off the ground and ran into the ongoing battle inside the guild.
I looked around the large building for a place to sit that didn't have so much fighting happening around it. I mean, sure, I love to fight, that's a trait I picked up from Draco, but at the same time, I don't really use my magic in friendly fights and from the look of things, these guys used a lot of it.
I made my way towards the bar and sat on a stool. Eventually, a woman with white hair and blue eyes walked up to me with a bright smile. I furrowed my eyebrows in concern, but as quickly as I made the expression, it disappeared. 'Why are you hiding your pain?' I thought.
"Hi! My name is Mirajane, but everyone calls me Mira. What can I do for you?" She said.
I gave her a smile, hoping she doesn't see the slight concern I'm hiding behind it. "It's nice to meet you. I was actually wondering if I could join the guild."
Her smile brightened a little more and some of the sadness disappeared from it. 'Who have you lost?' I thought to myself. "Of course! What is your name and where do you want your guild mark?"
"My name is Lucy, and I'd like my guild mark on my right hand and I want it to be about the same color as Natsu's hair."
She smiled again, but something about this one creeped me out a bit. "Is there any reason you want your guild mark to be that color?"
I gulped. "Not really. I just like the color." 'Yeah, it's definitely not because of how drawn to him I am, or how intoxicating his scent is, even from the other side of the guild hall.'
She must have noticed my nervousness, because I saw a small smirk on her face before it quickly changed back into that bright smile. "Anyway, here you go." She said as she stamped my hand. "Also, if you don't mind me asking, what type of mage are you?"
I smiled back at her. "I use Celestial magic."
Shock was very noticable on her face. It took me a minute to figure out why, and then I remembered that Celestial Wizards were very rare for a long time now. Layla, my birth mother, was one of the last known.
"Really?" She said, and I simply nodded as a reply. "Celestial Wizards are very hard to find. How many keys do you have?"
I smiled thinking of my friends. "I have five silver keys and five Zodiac Keys."
If not for the fact that I saw her breathing, I could have sworn that she died right then and there. "WHAT?!" She yelled. I tried really hard to make sure I didn't wince at that, but then again, even if you weren't a dragon slayer, you probably would've winced at that.
Once my ears stopped ringing, I slowly realized the guild's attention had been drawn to us after Mira screamed. Hating to be stared at, I shrunk down onto the stool even more and put my head on the bar. Eventually, I heard someone walking over to the bar.
"What is it, Mira?" A masculine voice asked. I had heard him a few times throughout the fight with the guild.
"It's nothing. I was just talking to Lucy, she just became a member, and she told me something pretty shocking."
"What'd she say?" The man asked.
"Lucy, would you mind if I told them?" Mira asked me.
I looked up at her and shook my head. They were going to find out when i start going on missions, either way. I slowly picked my head up and turned to the guild. I quickly searched the crowd and found a pair of onyx eyes staring back into mine. I immediately felt myself relax as I allowed myself to get lost in his scent for a moment.
I then looked back at the crowd and said in as clear of a voice that I could muster with all the attention, "I'm a Celestial Wizard. I have five silver keys and five Zodiac keys."
"WHAT?!" They all yelled.
All except Natsu, anyway. He just looked confused. "What's so special about that?" He asked.
The man next to him took the cigar out of his mouth and said, "It's rare to see a Celestial Wizard in general, Natsu, but then you learn that she has a Zodiac key. That makes her even more special. Not only that, but she has five. She has to be really powerful to control all that magic."
A girl with blue hair and an orange dress continued. "Even without the fact that she has to supply her own energy to keep them in Earthland, she also has to supply magic for each of their attacks. And then you have to think about the fact that she has to tear a hole in space and into another dimension to get the spirit to her, and keep it open long enough for them to get through it, you not only need a lot of power, you also need a lot of concentration. With that being said, if Celestial Wizards had a way to form their magic into something like Natsu does with his fire, and Gray, his ice, Lucy could be the most powerful member in this guild."
Silence ensued after that. After a few moments of them taking it all in, someone jumped up and cheered. "AWESOME! Not only do we have a new member, but she's really powerful!"
Everyone else jumped into the cheering as well. I couldn't help but smile as I heard multiple people suggest they throw a party to welcome me into the guild. A lot of people came up and tried to get to know me better. If I didn't know any better, I could have sworn I heard Natsu growl. I just ignored the thought. The only thing I could think was, 'Yajima, maybe you were right. I think I will enjoy it here.'
