Lucy's POV
It had been about a week since I joined the guild and so far, I've had a lot of fun. I met a girl named Levy McGarden. She likes to read like I do. We have become really close.

I've also met a guy named Gray Fullbuster. I'm not exactly sure how to describe him. He's an ice mage, and a powerful one at that. He also has a slight stripping problem. I don't blame him for that, though. The heat must do a lot to him considering his body heat is a lot cooler than everyone else's. Anyway, he's a good guy.

Mira and I have also gotten a little closer. I still haven't figured out why it is she's so upset. She hides it all behind a smile, like I do. I just want to know what happened so I can try to help her, even if it is just a little bit.

Today was just another day at the guild. Happy and I were sitting at a table together. I was reading a book while drinking a strawberry smoothie and Happy was cheering Natsu on as he fought with Gray. I learned very quickly that they are always fighting.

Everything was normal, until some guy in a green jacket with sunglasses on burst into the guild, looking like he had just seen a ghost. "Erza's back!" He yelled.

As soon as the words left his mouth everyone started to panic. It was really confusing to me so I walked over to the bar to ask Mira what was going on. She seemed like the only one who wasn't going insane.

"Hey, Mira?"

She looked at me with her normal smile. "Yes, Lucy?"

"Um, who's Erza and why is everyone freaking out about her?"

"Oh, Erza Scarlett, otherwise known as Titania, queen of the fairies, is very strict. She's also one of the strongest members in the guild."

"Ah, I see." I nodded in understanding. She must be really powerful for everyone to panic like this.

The sound of armor clinking together echoed through the guild. I noticed just about everyone around me was shaking in fear. Soon, a woman walked into the guild. She had long scarlet hair and brown eyes. The arua radiating off of her screamed power and her entire demeanor reminded me of how Aquarius acted towards people she didn't know.

She was carrying a giant horn. All in all, she was a beautiful woman. She sat the horn down and looked around the guild. "I have returned." She said in a stoic voice. "Where is Master Makarov?"

Mira gave her a smile and greeted her. "Welcome back, Erza. Master is at a conference right now."

She simply nodded. "I see." She began to look around the guild ar everyone. Her eyes landed on a dirty blond haired man.

He was looking at the giant horn she had carried into the guild. "So um... what's that humongous thing you got there?" He asked, hesitantly.

"It's the horn of a monster I defeated. The locals were so thankful they decorated it and gave it to me as a souvenir." She turned to him with an intimidating look. "Do you have a problem with it?"

"No!" He answered, as he quivered in fear. Wow. Everyone is terrified of her.

She then turned to the rest of the guild and gave just about everyone a lecture. Honestly, she was a bit frightening. She probably would have scared me, too, if I was anyone else and had been through different experiences.

She then turned to Natsu and Gray. "Oh, hey there, Erza." Gray said, as he quivered with his arm around Natsu, and Natsu's arm around him. "We're just hanging out like best friends do."

"Aye!" Natsu yelled in fear.

"That's great to hear. However, it is completely normal for even the best of friends to lock horns every now and again." She said.

"I don't know if we're the best of friends." Gray mumbled.

She ignored him and continued. "Natsu, Gray, I need you to do me a favor." She said, making them straighten, immediately. "While I was travelling I heard something that has me worried. Normally, I would consult with the master before acting, but he isn't here, and this is a matter of upmost urgency. The two of you are the strongest wizards here. I could really use your help." Everyone stiffened in shock. Whispers spread through the guild like wild fire. Apparently, it wasn't normal for Erza to ask for help. "We'll meet at the train station tomorrow morning."

***

The next morning everyone was waiting at the train station for Erza. Natsu and Gray were picking fights with each other, while Happy and I sat on a bench acting like we didn't know them. Erza soon arrived and we all boarded the train.

"Wow." I heard Erza say. I looked away from the window to face her, silently, once again thanking Yajima for the remedy for my motion sickness. She was looking down at my lap where Natsu was laying. "I have never seen him sleep so peacefully through a train ride."

I gave her a small smile in response. "My mother used to do this for me when I needed to calm down. When I learned that Natsu had motion sickness, I figured I'd try my best to help."

Erza smiled. "My name is Erza Scarlett, what's yours?"

"Lucy." I said, trying to avoid giving my last name.

"It's nice to meet you. Anyway, let's get down to business."
