Lucy's POV
Tonight is the day. The night that I finally escape this hellish place I have been forced to call home. Honestly, I can't say I would change coming here. Obviously I'd like to change the fact that I've been the reason for the torture multiple people have endured, but if I hadn't come here, Aquarius and Sagittarius would still be at my father's mercy. Many thoughts and memories fill my head as I stare at the night sky, specifically Aquarius' constellation. I am snapped out of my thoughts by the familiar sound of a gate opening. I smile, knowing who it is without having to turn around.
"Hey Aquarius."
"Brat..." She simply says. I've gotten used to those types of greetings from her. "Are you ready to go?"
I turn towards her with a bright smile. "I've been ready to get out of here since I was escorted through those front gates."
She smiled at me in return and came closer to the window sill I was sitting in. "Well, I suppose it's time."
I simply gave her a sly grin, to which she raised an eyebrow at. She tried to look serious but failed at keeping the smile off of her face. Seeing as we had discussed the plan earlier, all we needed to do was execute it.
But, you know... As my father always said, make the plan, execute the plan, expect the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan, and then improvise the hell out of your plan until you finally succeed.
As Aquarius continued to stare at me, probably wondering why I was looking at her the way I was, I slowly leaned back out of the window. I watched as her eyes widened realizing how I was planning on getting out of my room, which if I haven't mentioned, is on the the third floor of the Heartfillia mansion.
As I fell out of the window, I flipped myself over so I was facing the wall. Because of the instincts I gained from being raised by dragons, and because of how often Draco wasn't paying attention and accidentally dropped my while he was flying, I was fast enough to catch the window sill of the floor below. Luckily, the builders of this house seemed to want to make it symmetrical, so basically, for every window on the third floor of the sides of the house, there is another two windows directly below it.
I listened as Aquarius quickly shuffled to the window and peered down at me. I looked up at her and gave her an innocent smile, knowing I scared the hell out of her. She glared one of her most menacing glares at me, which sent slight shivers of fear down my spine.
I decided I should probably stop fooling around with Aquarius and move before anyone saw me. I looked below me and saw the next window about six feet below. With Aquarius watching, I carefully let go of the window sill and allowed myself to fall. Catching the next window and gripping it tightly, I finally allowed myself to drop the rest of the way to the ground. I looked up at Aquarius and she dropped a backpack down to me before summoning herself to my side.
I gave her a smile and slowly, we made our way across the estate and towards the fence surrounding it. After a while of ducking behind bushes and hiding behind trees, we made to the fence. I looked at Aquarius as she stared at the fence, probably wondering how I planned on getting over a ten foot tall cage.
"Care to give me a boost?" I whispered.
She looked over to me with an 'are you serious' look. I simply gave a grin and she sighed. "Alright. I'm guessing your going to get a running start so go ahead and get back as far as you need to." She whispered back, not really bothering to hide the displeasure in her voice. I knew she was going to make me pay for my recklessness later, but for now, she would let it slide.
I threw my backpack over the fence and then walked backwards to what I knew was a good distance. Aquarius bent down slightly and cupped her hands, giving me a nod to tell me she was ready. I nodded back and took a deep breath. Finally, I ran forward and stepped on Aquarius' hands. I felt her toss me through the air towards the fence. I reached out and caught the top, glancing down at Aquarius to try and ease her concerns, and then threw myself over the fence.
Now this is where I tell you what where my plan went off the rails. When I threw myself over the fence, I didn't think about how I was going to land, so when I hit the ground so hard that it effectively knocked the breath out of me, I wasn't only mad at myself for the fact that i had forgotten that no plan goes completely perfect, but i was also mad at myself because there was a very good chance I had just given myself a major concussion.
My vision was going completely haywire. Not only was it blurred, but it also kept going dark. I continued to lay on the ground, contemplating whether I should get up or not, when I felt to warm arms gently pick me up.
"You're okay, Lucy. I've got you." A familiar voice said. I probably would have known who it was had I not had such a bad headache.
I simply nodded, immediately regretting the action after a large amount of pain shot through my skull, and leaned back into their embrace. I felt so tired. I knew I probably shouldn't have, but I couldn't help it. I closed my eyes, and allowed the darkness to take over me.
