It's after school and Jerome is in his room cleaning it as fast as he can. He gathers all his clothes that are laid out on the ground and puts them into a laundry basket. He gathers the few cups that are on his nightstand and runs downstairs with them. He places them in the sink and runs back up to his room.
Jerome's eyes scan over his room. He's cleaned up everything, well, he shoved a bunch of things into his closet and isn't daring to open it any time soon.
Luckily for Jerome his mom isn't coming home till twelve AM so he has the house to himself. Besides the fact Jeremiah is in the room next to him.
Jerome sits on his bed, it's slightly made. He just propped the pillows up against the backboard and laid his blanket out evenly. It looks nice enough, it's for sure passable.
He pulls out his phone and sees a message Bruce sent five minutes ago.
Brucie: on my way!
Jerome: got it 👌
The ginger turns off his phone and runs downstairs into the living room. He sits and waits for Bruce to arrive.
"Jerome, what are you doing?" Jeremiah asks as he walks down the stairs and into the kitchen.
"Nothing, now fuck off, I want to be alone," Jerome lies. Jeremiah rolls his eyes and grabs a snack from the fridge.
Jerome is the type of sibling to harass the hell out of the other but if Jeremiah dares to go near him he either gets bullied or yelled at. It's an interesting relationship the two have.
"I'll be in my room doing homework," Jeremiah says and walks away. Jerome snorts and shakes his head. Nerd.
Jerome stares at the door, waiting for the doorbell to ring or for someone to knock on the door. He's never been to excited for anyone to come over again.
To be honest, no one really comes over besides men Lila sleeps with. Jerome and Jeremiah never have anyone over, they never have. The two only celebrate their birthdays together and that's it. Lila doesn't bother with the boys, she believes birthdays aren't important. The two often go out for their birthday together and celebrate the fact they're getting older.
Five minutes pass and the doorbell rings. Jerome hops up from the couch. "I got it Miah!" He shouts to his brother.
Jerome opens the door and there stood Bruce and another man. "Hello Jerome," the brunette says excitedly. Jerome grins and looks up at the older male.
"Alfred insisted he'd come meet you, Alfred, this is Jerome," Bruce introduces Jerome to his butler.
"Good evening Mr..."
"Valeska."
"Mr. Valeska. It's very nice to meet you, I just wanted to make sure Master B is in good hands," Alfred explains. Jerome nods his head understanding.
Jerome isn't to be trusted but of course he isn't going to say anything. "Alright Master Bruce, I shall be on my way. Call me whenever," the two say their goodbyes and Alfred leaves.
Jerome steps out of the way so Bruce can enter the house. He shuts the door and Bruce takes off his shoes.
"Sorry about Alfred, I tried to convince him that there was no need to be worried. I know we may have just met but I trust you Jerome," the ginger tries to stop himself from laughing.
Hell, Jerome can't even trust himself. He's destructive to others. The amount of things the Valeska has broken is crazy, his mother is always yelling at him for it. Sometimes he purposely breaks things just to piss people off.
