Chapter 5 - flashback

*4 and a half years ago*

'Wilko, come on!' Lewi pulled back the sheets leaving my body exposed to the cold room.
'Lewi!' I whined. 'Five more minutes.'
'Thats what you said half an hour a go! Come on, we're going out!'
'We are?'
'Yep. I've booked a one week holiday for us. Pack for hot weather, our plane leaves in six hours.' He kissed my forehead and walked out the room. A one week holiday? In the sun? In six hours? Oh I couldn't wait. I dragged myself out of bed and hopped into the shower. I was in and out in ten minutes. After getting dressed and doing my hair and makeup I was ready. We had five hours left until our plane took off.
'Lewi?'
'Yes Han?'
'Where are we actually going?'
'Wait and see!' I sighed and shook my head with a smile. He's full of surprises!
'Just to be clear, I am packing for hot weather right?'
'Well, we are going to a hot country so it would make sense to do that!'
'Oh shush!' I giggled. 'Have you packed?'
'Almost. I've just got to pack some other stuff.'
'Like what? Phone? Tablet? Portable gaming thing?'
'PS Vita, and yes. I still have to pack those.'
'Don't forget the chargers for them!' He laughed and put the chargers in his suitcase.
Five hours later we arrived at the airport.
'Please tell me where we are going now!' I looked up at him with puppy dog eyes.
'Fine! We are going to... Hawaii!' My jaw dropped. Hawaii?!
'Oh my god lewi! I've always wanted to go to Hawaii!'
'I know, that's why I booked this trip.' I smiled and hugged him.
'Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!'
'It's ok Wilko!' He ruffled my hair. 'Come on, lets check in.' He grabbed my hand and we walked over to check in.
Eight hours later, we arrived in Hawaii. Oh my goodness it was hot. We had made it to hour hotel which was the nicest place I had ever seen! It had marble floors all sparkling clean, pillars at the entrance and in the lobby there was display cases full of bags and shoes and makeup and just everything a girl could ask for, all at a fraction of the original price might I add. I stared at them mesmerised.
'You can have one thing which I'll buy for you. The rest you have to buy for yourself.' He smirked and wrapped his arm around my waist.
'Really? Oh lewi thankyou!' I kissed him and carried on looking at the display cabinets. There was one pair of shoes I was dying for, Christian Louboutin: Daffodile Kid. They were gorgeous and they had them! You wouldn't believe the prices! The normal price was something like £485 or something ridiculous like that but here, in this hotel, they were $156 which was about £100. I had to have them.
'If your looking at the Daffodile Kid Louboutins, I'd buy them now, that's the last pair in this hotel.' One of the staff walked up behind us.
'Lew?'
'Ok, we'll take them please.'
'I love you lewi.' I whispered.
'I love you too Wilko.'

Our holiday was almost over and we hadn't really done much. We spent the first three days on the beach and by the hotel pool. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen! If I had a picture I would show you but I don't so, sorry. I wanted to do something different. We were on the island of Oahu! In Hawaii!
'Come on lewi. Get up.'
'Han, why?'
'I want to go to go surfing.'
'You. Of all people want to surf?'
'Excuse me, I can actually surf. My dad taught me when I was younger.'
'Ok, come on then. Show me what you've got Wilko.'
We headed out to East Oahu and rented surf boards for an hour.
'Can you surf lew?'
'Yep!' And he ran into the water. 'Race you!'
'You little cheat!' I ran after him.
I laid down on my board and waited for a wave.
'You ready Han?'
'Im ready!'
A wave came crashing by me and lewi and I jumped up on my board staying ahead of the wave. I hadn't surfed in ages! I was so happy to be on the board again. It bought back a lot of memories like when we used to visit family in America, dad would give me surf lessons everyday until I got the hang off it. And now look where I am. Surfing the waves of Hawaii. He would be proud!
Running back into shore I saw lewi already standing by our stuff.
'Wasn't that fun? I loved it!'
'You were amazing! I didn't know you could surf like that!'
'Well, I try!' And I ran back out with lewi behind me. Lewi was great a surfing. He fell off a few times but he got the hang of it eventually. An hour later we had to give our boards back. We walked back to our hotel, showered and got ready to go out sight seeing. We did this for the rest of our holiday, surfed in the morning and went out in the afternoon. But soon enough, our holiday was over and we had to go back.

Just six months later, I got the horrific news that lewi was leaving. It tore my world apart...
