Chapter 2 - The 'Date'

07:18 am. I got up, hopped in the shower, styled my hair, applied my makeup, put on my clothes, grabbed money, keys, phone and my bag and headed for my car. You know, my normal morning routine. I had bought movies like Toy Story, Monsters Inc and The Lion King to watch today. I stopped at the shops to get some popcorn. The shop keep thought I was crazy buying six bags of popcorn. I told him I had 28 students to occupy.
I arrived at school right as the bell went and hurried to my classroom.
'Ok guys. I have three movies to watch today, I have Toy Story, Monsters Inc and The Lion King. Which one should we watch first?'
'Monsters Inc!' Everyone said at the same time.
'Monsters Inc it is then. Come and get a tub of popcorn but remember this must last you throughout the whole film.' I was bombarded by 28 tiny humans fighting over which tub of popcorn they wanted.
'I want this one, it's got more in!'
'Thats not fair! Miss Wilkin, Tommy has more than me!'
'Charlotte. I counted out each tub. You all have 30 pieces of popcorn in each.' I lied.

We ended up watching The Lion King as well but we didn't get time to watch Toy Story. The bell rang at the end of the day and the classroom emptied. Macy was the last one.
'Here you go Macy.' I handed her a tub of popcorn. 'One for me and one for you.'
'Thanks Miss Wilkin. Lewi has forgot me again!' We giggled.
He still hadn't arrived half an hour later so we decided to play a game. Half way through or game of snap lewi arrived.
'Im so sorry I'm late. We lost track of time in the studio.'
'Studio?'
'Lewi is in a band!'
'Really? What band are you in?'
'Well, we haven't exactly got a name yet.' We giggled.
'Macy, could you go and put your coat on please.' She walked over to her peg.
'Erm, I was just wondering if you wanted to go to lunch with me tomorrow? It's my day off so I'm not doing anything.' He looked shy.
'I'd love to! Here, take my number and text me the details.' I scribbled my number down on a piece of paper and handed it to him. Macy ran over.
'Thanks. I'll see you later. Come on Macy.'
'See you later!'
Lewi and Macy left and I finished up some marking. I arrived home at half past five and checked my phone. I had a text from lewi:

Lewi: hey Hannah! Meet me at Bandits at 1 o clock tomorrow? Can't wait to see you x
Hannah: I'd love to! See you later x

I love Bandits! It wasn't at all fancy or anything, it was a proper American restaurant serving mainly burgers. Ever since I was 14, I used to go with my twin brother Danny every Tuesday after school until we were 18. Danny moved to America and lived there for six years. Oh yeah, Danny's back in Manchester!

*RING RING RING RING*

Speak of the devil.

'Danny!'
'Hannah! I've missed you so much! What are you doing tomorrow? I need to see you.'
'Ive missed you lots too! Tomorrow I'm going to lunch with a...' I paused.
'Hannah?'
'Erm, with, a friend. Sorry.'
'Oh ok. What about the evening? We could go to dinner?'
'I'd love to! As long as your paying.' We laughed.
'Oh I've missed you Han. See you tomorrow.'
'Missed you to. Bye dan!'

I hung up and made some dinner, left over pizza from last night. I fell asleep and woke up at twelve o clock the next day.
'Shit!' I ran into the shower and was in and out in ten minutes like normal. I styled my hair and applied makeup. Then I picked out my outfit, skinny jeans and a low cut fitted t shirt. I pulled on my trusty converse and put on my favourite jacket, Hollister of course. I grabbed money, keys and my phone and ran out my apartment.
'Bye lennie!' I shouted as I ran past the apartment owner. I looked at the time, 12:53. It takes about ten minutes to get to Bandits if you walk. I didn't walk, I ran there.
I arrived at the restaurant and calmed my self down before entering. I saw lewi sitting in the corner. He looked up and smiled.
'I thought you weren't coming.' I sat down in my chair.
'I can't be that late.'
'Seven and a half minutes. I'll let you off.' He winked and I giggled.
'So, what looks good?' I stared at the menu. I was craving a cheeseburger.
'Im thinking of a cheeseburger.'
'With bacon!' We said at the same time.
'Looks like a cheeseburger with bacon then!'
'Make that two!'
We ordered our food and it arrived.
'So tell me about your family Hannah.'
'Ok, well most of my family moved to America when I was eighteen but my brother has just moved back. I'm seeing him tonight actually!'
'Is your brother older or younger than you?'
'Older, by about two minutes.'
'Your twins?'
'Yep!'
'Will I have to get his permission to date you?' I stared at him. He wanted to date me?
I laughed, 'yeah, you might.' I winked and finished my food. God I had missed that place!
Lewi walked me back to my apartment. 'Thankyou for lunch. I had a good time.'
'Thankyou for coming.' We hugged and I kissed his cheek.
'Goodbye lewi.' And I closed the door. I couldn't stop smiling. He was such a nice guy, handsome as well. I rang danny.
'Hey Han! You ok!'
'Im fine thanks Danny. Where are we meeting later?'
'How about Bandits? Remember when we used to go there every Tuesday after school?'
'I would love to but I've just got back from Bandits.'
'And? You can never have enough Bandits!'
'I suppose. I'll meet you there Dan.'
'Five o clock, don't be late.'
'I won't! See you later.'
I hung up and looked at the clock. I had two house before I had to meet Danny. I decided not to change and just go how I was. I don't know if I could eat anymore from Bandits! I couldn't wait to see Danny again though!
