Leo
Leo stared in shock as Y/n turned to gold right in front of his eyes. He caught her gaze for a moment before she shimmered over with gold. Leo could have sworn she was at the other side of the room a moment ago, but now there she was. Right in front of him. That should have been him.
Leo stood up and ran across the room to Jason as fast as he could. "Please tell me you have a plan."
Jason pulled Leo with him as they avoided Lit and Midas. "Maybe, but I can't take two on at a time."
Leo could see Jason fix on an idea. "This really isn't fair having both of you fight, right. I think I would like to see Lit show his skills. If I win, you let us go with our friends. If I lose, well, you know."
Leo nudged him slightly, speaking out in a whisper. "What do you think you're doing? You'll get yourself killed!"
Jason mumbled back, "Improvising."
Midas thought on it for a few moments. "Very well. But you're only aloud to die fighting Lit."
The king backed away, and Lit raised his sword.
"I'm going to enjoy this," Lit said. "I am the Reaper of Men!"
"Come on, Cornhusker." Jason said as he summoned his own weapon. This time it came up as a javelin. Leo decided now would be a good time to hide at the edge of the room.
"Oh, gold weapon!" Midas said. "Very nice."
Lit charged.
Leo watched as Lit darted forward, slashing and slicing with speed that Leo had never seen before. Yet, somehow Jason was still holding up. The only thing Leo feared was that it wouldn't be for long. Yet, he stood amazed at his fighting skill. It was as if Jason was analyzing Loy's fighting style and adapting to match it. What seemed like a sure to lose battle before was looking up.
Jason countered, sidestepped, and blocked. Lit seemed surprised to find him still alive.
"Come on Jason!" Leo yelled. "You can do it."
Jason only have him an irritated look before focusing again on his opponent.
"What is that style?" Lit growled. "You don't fight like a Greek."
"Legion training," Jason said. "It's Roman."
Roman? Leo thought. What was that supposed to mean. Leo had an odd thought about something his dad said. Something about his own Greek and Roman aspects. But that couldn't be true... could it?
"Roman?" Lit struck again, and Jason deflected his blade. "What is Roman?"
"News flash," Jason said. "While you were dead, Rome defeated Greece. Created the greatest empire of all time."
"Impossible," Lit said. "Never even heard of them."
Jason spun on one heel, smacked Lit in the chest with the butt of his javelin, and sent him toppling into Midas's throne.
"Yeah! You get him Jason!" Leo cheered.
"Oh, dear," Midas said. "Lit?"
"I'm fine," Lit growled.
"You'd better help him up," Jason said.
