Shower thoughts. Before I get into this, though, please. Don't misunderstand me. I respect the doctors, nurses, and anyone else who is at the front lines of this Coronavirus very much. However, this post is because I don't think others get merely as much recognition. So, please. Don't misunderstand me.

So, I had this thought while in the shower today. I wish we would be just as thankful to the grocery store workers, the retail workers, the fast food restaurant workers, or anyone else who is putting their lives on the line during this time.
Like, I see so many posts recognizing the nurses and the doctors, the paramedics and others in the medical field getting recognition they deserve, but why isn't it the same for the other people?
None of us would be able to live without the grocery store workers! We all have to get food from somewhere, and without the grocery stores or restaurants, this need wouldn't be met.
And then, what about the essentials that grocery stores can't provide? We turn to the retail stores so that those needs can be met! We have to get our medication from somewhere because most of the time, our medication is sent to the retail stores. So we need them, too!
And then, there are people who have to risk their lives because their boss doesn't understand the severity of the situation we are in. And some people can't just "quit" their jobs because this is how they live, their families live.
So yes, I truly believe the nurses, doctors, paramedics deserve the recognition they are receiving from the public. But I also believe other people deserve recognition as well, and they are not getting enough of it. The policemen, the firefighters, the grocery store workers, the retail workers, the restaurant workers, and anyone else who does not have the choice to work from home. I sincerely hope you guys will take the time to thank your friends and family members, or even the strangers that are putting their lives at risk so that our country can run decently in the midst of this pandemic.
Please. .while the nurses and doctors are at the front line of everything, don't forget the other people who are fighting for us to survive, too. 😌💜
