The Land of Fire. The sulfuric stench of brimstone fills the air, nearly cutting the oxygen of the atmosphere in half. As Mataka walks through the intense heat of the firey plains, she begins to feel her oxygen leave her.

"H'ara... Tukinta... Sr'kinu... Br'k'va." As Mataka breathlessly chants, the marks on her skin turn blue and she begins to gasp for precious air.

"Better, I can breathe soundly. This place feels like the deepest pits of hell. Nothing but endless flames." Mataka says as she observes the trees and rocks. Mataka continues onward deeper into the land of fire.

While she observes her surroundings, Mataka hears the crack of a whip in the distance. The noise grows louder as Mataka takes out her Tomahawk.

"Warrior of the Ka'nakhu tribe. You have made it this far, but if you want to progress further, you must first get past me." A woman, with no facial fearures to speak of, approaches Mataka. Mataka stays on guard as this strange woman slowly edges close to her.

"Such a powerful woman, a fire burns inside you! You have the flame of a warrior that will not die until the end. However, you have been through the earlier challenges and it is starting to take it's toll on you."

Mataka takes out her Tomahawk and the runes on the blade glow a bright shade of red. She also takes out her sword as the flames around her continue to rise.

"Reveal yourself monster!" Mataka demands.

"Remember my name in death... I'vkanar!" The monster quickly wraps her whip around Mataka's neck. As the whip tightens it's grip around her neck, it slowly fills her lungs with poisionous sulfur. Matata tries to loosen the grip of the whip, but her strength begins to rapidly fade.

"Your fire is dying, perhaps you are not the warrior you say you are!" I'vkanar mocks her. Mataka's eyes widen as the marks on her body glow brighter.

"I told you before, I will not... give... IN!!!!!" Mataka grabs the whip and she swings I'vkanar into a near by rock. As Mataka charges towards the monster, I'vkanar traps her whip around her leg and she trips her onto her back.

As Mataka gets to her feet, I'vkanar whips her in the back. Fire burns across the back of Mataka as she bleeds. The monster with no face again whips Mataka but this time on her face, but every blow she lands enrages Mataka.

I'vkanar tries to hit Mataka again with the whip, but Mataka catches it with her right hand and she pulls the faceless monster into her fist.

Mataka then uses her Tomahawk to chop of the whip arm of I'vakanar. As The Monster cries in suffering agony, Mataka grabs the whip and she wraps it around her neck. Tighetning the whip, she drags the monster towards a tree and she hangs her from one of the branches. Mataka brutally beats the monster while she is hanging from the tree, cracking her face as molten blood pours out.

"It's time you go to sleep!" Mataka uses her sword to vicserally cut I'vakanar in half. As the molten blood pours out of her upper torso, Mataka grabs tge whip and she twists it, setting it on fire. I'vakanar hangs dead as the flames cover her upper torso. Mataka yanks the whip from the branch, letting the monsters upper half fall to the ground.

"Three down, two to go. After that, the path will be open." Mataka travels north of the fiery plains, despite blood coming down her back.

Several minutes later. As she makes her way towards a rocky valley, an arrow pierces her shoulder. As Mataka removes the arrow and her vision begins to become distorted and blurry.

"Time for your journey to end, Ka'nakhu trash!" Inuta, one of Katu's tribes women, fires another arrow at Mataka, but it is caught by the determined warrior.

"How! How are you still alive? My poison should be killing you! What sorcery is this?!" Inuta gasps, trying to shoot another arrow. Mataka however, uses the whip she has obtained, and she pulls Inuta down from the rock she is perched high upon.

Inuta scrambles to get to her feet, but Mataka throws her Tomahawk into her left knee. Inuta screams in agony as blood squirts from her knee.

"You seem to not know about my tribe, at birth, we are given a plant that gives us eternal immunity to man-made poisons. You should have listened to your leader about my tribe." Mataka grabs Inuta by the throat, and she viciously punches her over and over in the face, turning it into a battered and bloodied mess.

"I want you to send a message to your leader, tell her if she wants to fight, don't hesitate to find me herself!" Mataka throws her away and she continues her journey onwards.
