Have you ever...Fallen?
Whether it were onto a step that was steeper than anticipated, or off the side of a twenty-foot tree, you probably would've felt it.
The surge of something cold and electric to the base of your neck, all the way to the back of your skull. That's the same feeling you get when you're told someone you love is gone.
The only difference is, when you fall, you either catch yourself in the nick of time, or you hit the ground.
When you're told that you'll never see someone you care about again, you just keep falling into a deep, bottomless abyss.
The metaphorical ground being your peace of mind, or some sort of painful closure that we as humans desire.
Some persons never find their closure, and keep falling until their dying breath.
Some may seek their closure, but aren't ready for the cold, hard truth that takes their life from beneath them; knocking them with a heinous, merciless realization.
That's why it's so painful when persons die violently–and their loved ones know how and why.
It's even worse to lose someone through natural causes, since you have no one to blame. No one to project you anger towards...No one to hate.
But I suppose that that would be a despicable way to view a life; as a source of vengeance or lifelong grudges.
Especially with the heavy title of the number one hero.
He didn't die 'naturally', however.
So therefore I had a reason to hate, a reason to be seething with anger.
I had a just reason for doing what I did.I had a reason...To kill.
