Chapter Ten

Meilani Marie

Three loud knocks echoed in the room. Immediately after the knocks the door busted open.

Zay storms over to me tossing me backward onto the bed. He grabbed a handful of my hair and shook me til I was dizzy.

"I'm so nice to you and let you do whatever you want, but you'd rather be out with some little rich rat from south side. Am I not good enough for you, Meilani? Huh, Huh, answer the question. Am I not good enough for you?"

I struggled to breath and my head hurt immensely.

Rolling my eyes I said, "why do you care so much? You never talk to me and you never try to get to know me or even let me know you. So you don't have a right to ask about anyone that I'm around. Matter a fact why am I even here? Damon is in jail he's no threat to nobody so why are you keeping me here?"

Pushing him to the floor I got off the bed and kicked him in his ribs.

"Get up I want answers!" I demanded

And he reluctantly got up.

"Maybe I like you Meilani. Did you even consider that?" He said looking down

"Oh please that's a lie." I scoffed back

"It's true at first I wanted to get revenge but after being around you for a while I started to like you more. And honestly if you don't wanna be here then just go." He sounded so defeated

Standing up I gave him one last response, "Say less I'm out and the feeling isn't mutual. PERIOD"

Grabbing the phone I walked to the front door and into the car that was waiting for me.

This argument came in clutch since I already set up arrangements for someone to get me.

It's sad I had to leave my best friend, but she's cool with the guys and barely even talked to me. Maybe I have to let her go.

The uber ride was long I didn't realize how far from home I was.

After thirty minutes of driving I arrived at my apartment.

It looked exactly how I left it. My black and white themed living room still looked well put together and luxurious.

Falling back onto my couch I closed my eyes in relief. It's all over now I can finally just focus on myself.

My peace was disturbed as my phone stared to ring.

Looking at the screen I saw that it was Gianni. A smile crept onto my face as I pressed the answer button.

Seeing his perfect smile and freckles warmed my heart.

"Hey ma just checking up on you after that mess with ol dude. You good?"

"Yeah I'm good but do you think you can come over for the night. It's my first time back home and I don't want to be alone."

Almost immediately he agreed and ended the call so that he could come over.

I quickly ran and made my self presentable. I took a fast shower, shaved, and drenched myself in perfume. And finally I put on some silk pajama booty shorts and silk crop top. Quickly brushing my hair while I gargled mouth wash, I heard a knock on the door. Spitting out the mouth wash and putting lip gloss on I ran to open it.

Pulling him inside I led him to the couch and snuggled next to him. It's possible that I may be going to fast but I have nothing to lose.

He reached over softly grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers.

I look up at him and caught him licking his lips.

Turning the tv up, I hopped on his lap and boldly placed a kiss on his lips and that was the beginning of a long intimate night.
