Who's Your Daddy?

Chapter 9

Norlyn's POV

December 24, 2015

11pm

One more hour before Christmas comes. I've been calling and sending text messages to Luke but he never answered any.

Is he mad at me? Did I do something that made him upset? Or is he done with this whole courtship thing.

A knock from my door take me back to my senses.

"Honey come down now." My mom said.

"Be there in a bit."

I lazily replied.  I'm lying on my bed. I'm not in the mood to celebrate Christmas I'm bothered with Luke right now.

"Are you okay? You seem different today. You're not like that every Christmas its odd. You wanna talk about it?" I can imagine her face now concern all over her face.

"I'm fine really I'll be down later. I just want to be alone for now." I insist.

I heard her sigh "Fine then. Just call me or your dad if you need anything. " Then I heard her footsteps walking away from my room.

I forced myself to get up. I'm planning to take a shower when my phone rang.

I hurriedly pick it up hoping Luke's the one who's calling.

But it wasn't it was Aliya.

"Hey hun Merry Christmas!!!!" She happily said.

"Merry Christmas to you too." I said trying my best to sound happy.

She sighed "what's up? I know something is wrong.  Tell me you can't lie to me. I know you well."

I groaned. She really knows me damn well. "It's Luke. " I said.

"WTF what did he do? Did he cheated on you? What?! Answer me!!" She said anger was evident in her voice.

I giggled with her reaction "Noooooo. He didn't cheated on me okay? We're not even a thing he's just courting me. we're not  officially together. But anyway the reason why I'm upset is he never answered my calls and messages since yesterday.  It's not like him." I explained.

"Oh. Maybe he's just busy it's holiday right? And remember that they're making a new song? Trust the guy don't think too much. He's trying really hard to make that thing between you two work out." She consoles me.

I sighed I got her point "I know maybe I'm just used that he always talks to me. Maybe I just miss him so much. It had been a month since we last saw each other. "

"Yeah that's it so don't worry too much okay? Enjoy the night it's Christmas for crying out loud." I heard someone called her it must've been her mom "Uhm hun gotta go now my family and relatives will kinda have a reunion at my grandparents house. Talk to you soon bye. And merry Christmas.  Love yah!" She said and hung up.

I threw my phone to my bed and finally decided to take a shower before Christmas eve starts.

When I finished taking a shower I went to my closet to pick up what will I wear.

I settled with a band shirt of All time low, black jeans and my black vans.

I'm not really the type of girl who bothers with physical appearance.  And we are not expecting any guest tonight so why bother wearing fancy clothes?

I was almost done fixing myself when I heard a commotion happening.  It was near at our place.

I decided to ignore it and continue with my business.
