When I look into your eyes, I see,
In them someone who isn't me,From his heart you are stealing,
The sadness that I'm feeling,I often hear the silent cries,
Of that 'someone' I despise,A version of me I cannot be,
A version of me who cannot see,Why the gods rule from the skies,
The truth hidden beneath the lies,That in the rivers of paradise,
Drowned the worthy and the wise,In it's shallows I'm swimming,
Looking for a deeper meaning,That with the rivers of paradise,
The devil bathes his unholy eyes,To hide the tears as he cries,
When he looks into your eyes.
