i see beauty everywhere, don't you?
in italics, bold, in christmas lights and
freckles, stars, acne scars and words.
step into my chavel glass, what i seethe beach of a mediterranean island
a chunk of marble and you carved me a heart
taught me how to cry, i would've died for you
charter the islands and seas, beforewe get ahead of ourselves,
i do shit to stay in control;
my world was built for one
my eyes, the metal that spits jaundice
you exhaled pyrite onto my cheekvenus, tangled in your graffiti, sharpies
shutters, focus and stage lights, paradise
ascending the seven foaming seas, glinting
captured in the moonlight, donatelloi grew up alone
my excuse for being
so selfish, only i cry
more for others than
myself. it is not the casehigh art, not that either of us could grasp it
tasted expensive, lustre like the skin of
someone's daughter, luxury perfume and
my portrait, ageing like a smoker, you're no mensa,
we're worlds away.
you didn't read my lips
as i spoke. you could
never understand.push me onto my own sword, the fatal shot
of your magnum opus. my ugly, tasteless picture forged by you and you only. tasteless,
you were late to the revolution. it's over.the guilt washed away
the moment i left you
because you hated
everything and
that was so selfish.i live for love, you live for pain.
