I had left Ash with a run so that I could get to the next town. I knew the next town wasn’t far and then it was by Cyllage City which means, I could get there soon and then I could do a little bit of training then head over to Cyllage City. As I was running I happened to see some berries so I decided to grab a few. They were oran berries so I knew it was okay, especially since I was only taking five, leaving plenty for wild pokemon, but then I saw it out of the corner of my eye. Wild pokemon but they were in fear, shaking in fact. I looked at the berries then the pokemon and decided to leave them, as I didn’t want the pokemon to think humans are selfless. “Come on let’s leave them be,” I said to Lucario.

Lucario understood why I did what I did, though Eevee didn't. I heard the pokemon rejoice. I looked back at them and gave them a small wave.

I got to town. It was normal, it felt nice to get back to normal. I went to the pokemon center and let Nurse Joy see my pokemon, then I went to do some special training with Deerling and Lucario. I haven’t used Deerling for a battle at all so I thought I was a good idea and since I should level Lucario up a bit more.

“Okay Deerling start off with Camouflage,” I said not knowing what it would turn out to be. We were in a rocky area and it changed color to match surroundings. “That’s cool,” I said surprised.

We trained for a long time and it was fun doing it and I know it was worth it since Derrling has a completely new moveset, that now consisted of, double kick, leech seed, feint attack, and takedown. I smiled at myself knowing I was as prepared I could be.

“Okay come out Ari, you too Baby,” I said calling them out. “Tomorrow we fight a gym leader. He’s a rock type gym leader which means that grass and fighting type will do great fighting against him, but fire and flying won’t be as good, but then again moves only do damage if they hit, and I believe in you. So do you think your all ready?” I asked them. They all cheered. “That’s what I like to hear,” I said.

I recalled most of my pokemon leaving Lucario and my favorite uncaught pokemon out. “Hey Eevee,” I said as I walked back to the pokemon center. She perked up. “Would you like to be caught? I’d let you stay out all the time unless I felt you were in extreme danger,” I said talking to the pokemon. She jumped off my head and to the ground and she jumped up and down excitedly. “Okay,” I said happily. I grabbed a pokeball and held it out for Eevee, and she booped it with her nose. I let her back out and headed to the pokemon center as the sun started to set.

I got back to the pokemon center and rested up. I didn’t really dream though I was very excited when I woke up. “Alright let go!” I said happily to Eevee and Lucario.

I went to the next town, Cyllage City. I found the gym and when inside. I was surprised when I found a rock climbing wall but smiled. “Hello?” I called out not knowing where the gym leader was.

Then I heard a voice from high above me. I was not that surprised that he was at the top of the wall. “Ah, a new challenger. Climb up to challenge me,” He said.

“Climb eh? Don’t mind if I do,” I said. “You ready to do this Lucario?” I asked he nodded. “Makes sense for a rock type gym leader,” I said as I started. “You must love rocks a lot,” I shouted back. Lucario and I were helping each other we had each other cover so neither of us made a slip-up.

“I like your spirit,” He commented.

“Eevee, you feeling okay?” I asked. Eevee seemed fired up and I got an excited sounding reply from her.

I could feel myself starting to struggle a little I took a deep breath. I continued climbing and my foot slipped, I tighten my grip no way I was giving up now. I found better footing and continued. “You okay Lucario?” I asked. He seemed to be doing okay and he said he was. Then he grabbed the wrong rock and he was barely able to help himself. Without thinking I grabbed his hand before he fell, “I got you don’t worry,” I said. He was able to get back on and we finished climbing. I was panting, “That was more intense than I thought,” I said out loud.
