We watched Korrina and her Lucario as the mega evolution finished. It was amazing to see a mega evolved Lucario. “That’s so cool looking!” I said I adore Riolu and Lucario, so Mega evolved Lucario was no different.

I could tell that her Lucario’s aura was different now too, you could just feel it. 

“We did it Lucario!” Korrina said running towards her mega evolved Lucario. 

Lucario seemed to be confused by its newfound powers. He had looked at his paw then moved his arm in front of him making it feel like wind, though it was his aura. This was the first time I had actually seen an aura’s colors, it was the full rainbow. ‘What does that mean?’ I asked my Lucario.

‘The energy is balanced and positive, but if you pay close attention to the red it’s dark,’ Lucario had told me.

‘Is that anger? Why?’ I had asked Lucario.

‘It is, it currently has more positive energy but if he were to engage in a battle he would lose control because he and his trainer are not in sync,’ Lucario explained to me.

“Huh,” I said out loud.

“What?” Bonnie looked at me wanting to know what I was thinking. 

“Oh, it’s nothing Bonnie, don’t worry about,” I told her, I didn’t want to explain the complexities of auras to her, especially since I don’t think she’d completely understand it.

Ash had gotten closer to Korrina and Lucario while I was talking to Lucario and I heard Ash say, “We feel your aura to Lucario!” 

“It’s impressive, the future of the Shalour City gym is bright,” McGinty had commented.

We had all gathered around Korrina’s Lucario as it was testing its new power.

“What do ya know, that breeze feels kinda warm,” Bonnie said seeming pretty happy.

“Actually, that was Lucario’s aura you felt,” Korrina explained. “It’s being projected out from its body,” She finished her explanation.

“That’s amazing! I wonder how much stronger it’s gotten,” Serena said sounding interested.

“I was hoping you’d say that,” Clemont said. He was getting into scientist mode. He took out some machine he had made. “This machine will make you wonder no more, I call it the pokemon power meter. It will shed some light on the power of mega evolution.”

“Uh Clemont, it can’t show how much stronger Korrina’s Lucario is now that it was before,” I told Clemont.

“That doesn’t matter it uses preexisting pokemon data-” Clemont began saying.

“Can that wait for a second or two? I actually have some neat information I wanted to share.”s

“Oh, uh sure I guess,” Clemont said.

“Thanks! So it’s gotten much stronger, mega evolution is very different from normal evolution for two reasons, mega evolution isn’t permanent and that it is believed that compared to their original form their base stat total is roughly 100 points higher which is considerably strong since a pokemon’s stats refer to the attack and defense of a pokemon,” I had explained to everyone kinda proud. “This means that if Mega Lucario were to take on the Blaziken, it would have a much easier time defeating it and most likely more quickly. If it was fought in the same way as the cave, of course, a trainer giving commands to a pokemon would definitely change the fight especially since he would know a thing or two,” I explained to them. “Okay, now you can go!” I told Clemont happily.
