The next day, when Kat arrived at work with Cole, Layla greeted them. "Hey guys, today's schedule is a little strange today because we're going to film the commercial today. We're all meeting in Dr. Lawson's office to talk about it." Kat cursed herself. She would've tried to write more if she knew she'd be meeting with the doctor so soon. He'd likely ask to see her progress so far.

Kat and Cole followed Layla into the meeting room, Elliot and another employee waiting in the room. The doctor and his wife were present as well, with The Deep and his agent there as well. Mrs. Lawson motioned for the three to take a seat, and they did so. The meeting started by discussing where the commercial would be filmed. Bessie's tank was where most of the commercial would be shot, and the rest done in various places inside the aquarium and in the hospital area. Before they started filming, the employees would check the area or prep any animals that would be showcased.

While The Deep was being fed his lines, Kat and Layla were sent to go clean up the area around Bessie's tank, while Cole, Elliot, and the other employee that Kat hadn't met yet were sent to clear the other areas. Kat was glad to be working with Layla again and relieved that Dr. Lawson had been to busy to check in with her on the article.

"So, are you disappointed that you won't be starring in the commercial yourself, Kat?" Layla joked as she swept an area that would be in frame during filming. Kat shook her head while moving signs and poles out of the way of where the camera would be.

"I'm a terrible actress. And I hate being filmed because one day I'll probably have to watch it." Kay said, which caused Layla to giggle.

"I honestly wish they had asked me. I'd be perfect for the role of stunning employee." Layla said dreamily. Kat didn't doubt it, and she was surprised that Layla wasn't more persistent with wanting to be included.

Finally the camera showed up, with Reese manning it. The Deep showed up as well, holding a printed script in his hand. It was clear that he hadn't memorized any of the lines yet.

"You'd would think that with all the commericals Vought had him do he'd be a pro by now." Layla whispered discreetly to Kat. She agreed with her, he looked extremely unprepared and nervous. Kat felt bad for him, but didn't say anything.

The start of filming was delayed for an extra 10 minutes while The Deep's agent ran lines for him to make sure he had them down. Finally, Kevin walked in front of the tank and suddenly changed his demeanor. He went from looking tired to sporting the charming smile that he was most well known for.

"While I love my ocean friends, I also love my lake buddies!" He said brightly. Kat was surprised how much energy he was able to show for the camera. She had only seen his commericals a few times on the television, and didn't pay too much attention to them. "One of my new friends at the <name of aquarium here> is behind me right now." He lightly placed his hand on the glass.

Above him, and out of view, Cole dropped a fish in the water to lure Bessie in front of the camera, looking as if The Deep had summoned her. As far as she knew, it looked like he couldn't talk to Bessie without actually speaking. Kat wished she could ask Kevin to talk to Bessie, just to see if the whale actually liked living at the aquarium. It would have to wait until after the day of filming, so she decided to ask him later.

"I'd love for you to come on down and meet me and my new best friends down here!" He said, smiling for a few seconds before someone yelled for the filming to stop. He quickly returned to his normal expression. Bessie was still floating near the front of the tank, begging for another treat.

The crew moved to another room as Kat and Layla were left to return everything they had moved back to their rightful positions. To break the silence, Kat decided to try and get some information out of Layla, if possible. "So, how do you think they got in contact with The Deep anyways?" She questioned.

"I think they sent a letter to the mayor of Sandusky. The Deep is the official hero of the city now, and I know the aquarium has asked for funding and other materials that way as well." Crap, Kat was hoping that they contacted Vought directly. She could've used it as an open link to contact them again and get more information. Layla seemingly became suspicious. "Why do you ask?"

"I just thought it was weird that a big company like Vought would just give away one of their heroes." Kat lied. As much as she wanted to tell Layla the truth about why she was here, Cole had insisted against it. He thought that Layla would go directly to the bosses once she found out, essentially blowing their cover.

Once they finished up, they moved to the front of the location, where the ending scenes would be shot, sweeping away leaves and moving garbage bins out of the way. It didn't take long, since there wasn't much outside of the building. After waiting twenty minutes, the filming crew hadn't shown up. They were supposed to be there already, and Kat became increasingly worried.

"Should we go look for them?" Kat asked Layla, still looking around for any sign of the crew.

"I don't know, what if they come back while we're gone?" Layla said worriedly, also confused about the lack of cameras around.

"How about I go look for them, and you can wait here?" Kat suggested. Layla agreed, and Kat returned to the inside of the building. It was quiet, but since they closed the aquarium for the day this was not unusual. Maybe they were still filming in the hospital area? As she made her way there, she noticed Bessie swimming around her tank faster than normal. The nurse whale was interested in something near the top edge of her tank.

Against her better judgement, Kat went up to the top of the tank, trying to see what was bothering her. She quickly spotted a bucket of food teetering on the edge of the tank. Kat grabbed it. Bessie was most likely waiting for it to fall in so she could have an extra meal. Kat returned it to its regular spot with the rest of the equipment, but when she turned around, she jumped in surprise.
