The mornings are awful.

Especially this morning for Jo.

She woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing. The sound being annoying, but she decided to look at the text that was just sent to her.

It was her girlfriend.

Bby ❤

hey bby i dont think this is gonna work out :( how bout we be friends instead??? :D

Jo just stared at her phone. They were dating for a few weeks, so she wasn't really that sad. Don't get me wrong, she did feel sadness, but what was over powering that was anger.

"What kind of FUCK breaks up over text?! She didn't have the balls to say that to me in the face or somethin'?!"

She was now angrily venting to the phone to her best friend, who really couldn't care less, and she knows that, but atleast he listens to her relationship troubles.

"I told you she was a bitch. You shoulda' listened," Max calmly stated into the phone.

"Yeah! But I didn't she was that bad of one!"

"Oh come on, it was obvious."

"Ugh, I need a smoke."

"You realize if you die of lung cancer it won't be my fault."

"Oh shut up!"

Max lightly chuckled. They've been best friends since college. They met at a college party that he really didn't want to go to but he went anyway because why not.

He was standing at the back of the house, drink in hand. You know, the cliché bad boy that is like guiet type thing. Jo noticed how sad and depressing he was in the corner drinking beer out of a plastic cup.

She approached him, drunk. At first, he hated her and she hated him, but somehow, they clicked.

To this day, they still insult each other with such passion that you know they ain't lying about wanting to slit each others' throats.

"Hey, you're looking for a job, right?"

"Oh shit! I forgot! Sorry, Freckle Face, I'll get right on that."

"Alright, you better. Bye, Gremlin."

"You're being offensive to gremlins."

"Oh? I'm surprised you're being self aware."

"Har har...Now bye!"

She hung up the phone and sighed.

How was she supposed to find a job that will hire her?

Some jobs were willing to hire her, but she blew most of them and got fired.

She put on her clothes and walked out of her small house.

She's been searching for hours.

Walking down the sidewalks of the big city, no place was hiring at the moment. She was beginning to think to call it a day and look tomorrow.

And that's when she came across a small café. It was on the corner and had a poster on it saying "NOW HIRING!!" on the door.

Jo took a deep breath, and went in.
