Chapter 8- The wedding day

2 months later, it was finally the wedding day.
The wedding ceremony was going to take place in Mumbai, in a five star hotel since most of Sana and Sid's relatives and friends were established in Mumbai.

Adorn in her bridal attire, a velvet maroon bridal lehenga with her matching jewelleries, Sana descended the stairs along with her bestfriend Mahi, whom she considers as her sister.

Sana was looking like a beautiful indian doll and her face was glowing with pure joy.
Meanwhile Sid, wearing a Sherwani matching to Sana's lehenga, with a pagri on his head, he looked like a dashing model.

As he saw Sana coming towards the mandap with a mesmerising smile on her face, he kept on staring at Sana and couldn't hold his tears as he considers himself lucky to have Sana as his life partner.

He approached Sana, held her hand and got her seated in the mandap.
Soon the wedding ceremony started.
After a series of wedding mantra, Sid's sister tied the wedding knot and Sid and Sana stood up for the 7 vows.
They held each other's hand and started to walk around the sacred fire till the priest completed reciting all the vows.

After completing the 7 pheras, both of them sat down.
Then Sid applied the vermillion on Sana's forehead.
As Sid applied the vermillion, tears of joy ran down Sana's cheeks.
Both of them kept staring at each other till priest announced that the marriage is completed and they are now husband and wife.

Hearing this, a wide smile could be seen on both's face.
They then took blessing from Sid's mom and Sana's parents.
They then headed towards the gurudwara to take god's blessing.

At the Gurudwara, both bent on their knees in front of the god's statue and recited together:
"Thank you god, for reuniting us together. Without your blessing this would not have been possible. We promise you that we'll stay by each other's side, till our last breath. There won't be place any lies, secrets and deceit between us. We will just follkw the path that you'll guide us.
Waheguru".

Then both returned to Sid's home and performed all the rituals and had dinner.

Then Sid's mom said:
"You both must be tired. Go and rest in your room".

Sid and Sana entered Sid's room, alias, their room, which was beautifully decorated with red roses and candles.
The light was dim to intensify the romantic ambiance.

Just then Sana's mom called her.
She picked the called and Sid whispered in her other ear:
"talk to your mom meanwhile i'll go and freshen up."
Sana:"Yes, mom, we've already reached home. We've just had dinner and now we're gonna rest a bit."
Sana's mom: "Where's Sid?"
Sana: "He went to freshen up in the bathroom".

They talked for about fifteen minutes and Sana's mom said: "Okay. I hang up now.  See you in the reception tomorrow evening. Bye. Take care".

As Sana hang up the call, Sid hugged her from behind.
Sana then turned to face him. Sid was wearing a white slim pant and white shirt. His body looked so manly and muscular. "Someone seems to be very romantic".

Sid looking at Sana with love and said: "After seeing such a beautiful woman like you, it is not easy to control such emotion."

Sana: "But unfortunately you'll have to wait more for this moment. It's my turn to freshen up now. I'm feeling sweaty with this heavy lehenga".

Sid: "Couldn't you had said it earlier? We would go to have a shower together."

Sana: "Well, it's too late now. We might reserve this fantasy of yours for next time. We have our entire life to try all our fantasies".

Hearing this, Sid was amused and excited to know about her fantasy.
"Oh so you have fantasies? Can you tell me more about that?"

Sana: "i'll tell you later. Let me have my shower now."

Sana quickly took her clothes from her suitcase and went to have a shower in the bathroom integrated in Sid's room.
