Love Or Attachment

Chapter 1- The confession

After realising her unconditional love for Sid, Sana immediately left the set of the show and headed towards Sid's home. Despite being nervous of Sid's reaction about her love confession, Sana mustered courage and rang the doorbell.
Closing her eyes, she said "It's now or never, Sana. Whatever will be Sid's decision, at least you won'y regret you haven't tried."
Just then Sid opened the door. He was shocked and at the same time very happy to see Sana after one month. He hugged Sana and said: "Its been so long. How are you Moti?" (moti means fatso in hindi).
Sid used to tease Sana lovingly asMoti during the show as she was very cute and chubby, with her bangs just above her light brown eyes. She has a fair complexion and a round figure, which makes her appear even more cute. One the other hand, Sid is a tall handsome hunk with a medium light complexion.

Having a childish and innocent nature, Sana always speaks up whatever comes in her mind. Despite not speaking english fluently, she entertains everyone with her hindi-english accent and mimicry of many actors. Her lovely and cute personality made Sid attracted towards Sana which initiated their friendship during the reality show four months ago.

Sid showed Sana the living room where she took a seat on the sofa, while Sid was preparing tea for her.
Being so nervous, Sana starts biting her nails while waiting Sid to come.
After some minutes, Sid came to the living room with two cups of tea. She offered Sana the tea and some cakes.
Sana took a sip of the tea and praised Sid for it's taste.
However, rushing with adrenaline, Sana could not finish the whole cup, despite being a tea lover. This made Sid to question her about her weird behaviour.
"What happened to you Moti? You didn't like the tea? Are you fine? Is something troubling you?"
Having the fastest heartbeat she ever had throughout her life, she started mumble.
She closed her eyes, gathered courage and said: " Sid, i love you."
Sid reaction was like he was in shock, despite having heard the statement dozens of time during their stay in that reality show.

Sana went on: "I know i've told you this several times and you never reciprocated. I also know it's my one sided-love but the matter is that i'm not be able to move on, even though how much i tried to. Everyday i think of all the lovely moments we've spent together and this brings me tears of joy. I'm not be able to figure out what i should do. So i came here to sort this issue out for once and for all. Just know that whatever your decision is, i will respect it, as always.

His eyes filles with tears, staring at Sana, Sid got up from the sofa, with his back facing Sana and said:
"Sana, i respect your feelings, but i won't be able to give you the answer you desired you hear from me. For me personally, these four months i've spent with you were the most amazing moments of my life. I am very fond of you and i have an attachment with you. But love and all? I've always been hurt in love thats why i stay away from all these love things. I've never regarded the bond we share with each other this way. For me, it was just a pure friendship bond. Moreover, the age gap between will become an issue as most of our thoughts don't match.
Please move on Sana, i don't want you to stuck in such a dilemma because i have no plans in falling in love with anyone."

Having saying this, Sid turned his face towards Sana. She was still sitting on the sofa, with her head bent towards the floor. Sid approached her, sat next to her on the sofa and lifted her head up with his finger to face him. Her eyes were reds and tears were running continuously on her cheeks.
Sid and Sana gazed at each other for a long time without speaking a word. After sometime, Sana said: "So it's a no."
Sid looked at her with a pain in his eyes, staying mum.
With a fake smile on her face, she says
"It's okay. You don't have to feel bad about my rejection. I'm used to this. First Paras andn then you. Just like am completely over Paras now, someday i will move on from your memories. At least as from today the illusion that you love me will break and i won't be in any dilemma anymore. Just promise me, whatever happened today won't affect our friendship."

With tears rolling down Sid's cheeks he said "whenever you'll need me, i'm always here for you."

Sana gets up from the sofa and made excuse to go home as she was not be able to hold her tears any longer. She hugs Sid and says: "Thank you for all the lovely memories. I'll always cherish them. I'll take your leave now, mom's waiting for me for dinner".

She didn't even let said reply her and turned her back immediately. Flood of tears ran from her eyes as she headed towards the door. Sid was calling her name but she opened the door and ran outside.
