Chapter 12- The deal

Sid lift Sana in his arms and his hands were covered with blood.
Sana was bleeding from her private part.
Terrified, and unable to understand anything, Sid took Sana in his arms and got in his car.
Sid's mom sat with Sana at the backseat, lying her head on her lap.
Sana was crying with pain and Sid's mom consoled her.

Sid drove at full speed and reached the hospital within a few minutes.
He took an unconscious Sana out from the car, held her in his arms and ran inside the hospital.

At the reception, Sid met their family doctor,Dr Patel, who examined Sana the day before.

Dr Patel: "Omg, what happened to Sana. Someone get me a stretcher quickly".
With his trembling hand, Sid laid Sana on the stretcher.

Dr Patel: "She's bleeding a lot. This can be very dangerous for her and her child".

Hearing this, Sid was shocked.
Sid: "Child?"
Sid's mom was equally shocked and started to crying as she was worried that Sana and her child's were in danger"

Dr Patel: "Sana didn't tell you that she's five weeks pregnant? She came to know about it yesterday itself and wanted to give you this news as your birthday gift."

Sid's eyes became red and tears started to roll from them.

Sid: "Aunty please, save Sana and my child."

Dr Patel: "You stay here Sid, I'll try my best."

Sana was brought in the ICU where Dr Patel was trying her best to bring both Sana and her child to life.

Meanwhile Sid hugged his mom, crying and the latter tried to consoled him, despite being worried herself.

After a few minutes, Dr patel came out of the ICU and said:
"Both Sana and the child are out of danger. If you hadn't bring her here on time, we might have lost both of them. Luckily we could stop the bleeding.
How did this negligence happened?"

Sid: "Thank you aunty. Can i meet her?"

Dr Patel: "Yes you can". After Sid went in the ICU, Sid's mom talked to Dr patel to explain her the situation.

Sid entered the ICU and saw that Sana was caressing her belly.

He sat on the stool next to her bed.

Sana tried to ignore him and turned her face the other side.

Sid: Sana?

Sana didn't reply him despite Sid called her several times.

Sid grabbed her hand that was on her belly, approached his face near Sana's  and told her:

"Sana how are you feeling now?"

Still no response from Sana

Sid: "Sana why did you hid your pregnancy from me? Do you even realise you due to your stupid actions on a baseless topic, today i would have lost you and my baby?"

Hearing this, Sana was burning with anger and reply:
"Since when do you care about me and my baby? You go and live with your Devoleena. I'm going back to Punjab and will take care after my baby on my own. We don't need you".

Sid tried to control his anger and said:
"Whatever you saw, it's not true. Devoleena is facing many problems in her marriage life and is going to divorce soon. She was depressed and i went to meet her as a friend just to give her courage."

Sana: "Great, then you both do get married after her divorce. And don't forget to send me the divorce papers as you decide to do so."

Sid was so furious at Sana that he stood up and the stool feel on the floor.

Sid: "I've had enough of your accusation Sana. I don't think i owe you any further explanation on this. Now you listen to me carefully.  After whatever happened i don't trust you at all. I can't take any risk concerning you and my baby. So, till the baby is not born, you won't go anywhere. You'll stay in front of my eyes to assure that you and my baby are safe and sound.
Then you can get lost wherever you want.

Sana in tears said: "Sid you really think i'll be able to stay with you after your betrayal? Why don't you give me divorce and go to that woman quietly?"

Hearing this, Sid was shocked. His eyes filled with tears and he said:
"Divorce? Anyways, if there is no trust in a relationship nothing is left between these two individuals.This wish of yours will surely be accomplished. But after the baby is born. "

Sana: "Fine. Let's make it a deal then. About 8 months are left until my delivery. After that, both of us will part ways".

Sid controlling his tears with much difficulty and said:
"Okay, deal".

As Sid and Sana turned their back to each other, flood of tears were rolling down their cheeks.
