Do You Remember Me?

Janet-
I walk into the house at one in the afternoon after just coming back from a long day at the studio and all I wanted to do was lay in bed with my baby and go to sleep. I walk towards the kitchen about to call out to Toni until I hear her voice on the phone. "No I don't think that's a good idea...I just don't think we should work together again after what happened last time...it's not that...fine send me the song and I will look over it but that's it...yeah bye...you too" she says before hanging up and all I can think about is what happened last time?...

"Who was that I ask?" Coming around the corner making Toni jump. "Oh my God baby you scared me" she says clutching her chest making me chuckle. "Sorry, who was that Toni?" I ask going to get me a water from the fridge. "Oh um..." she says stuttering making me look at her weirdly. "Michele?" I question sitting down at the counter top. "It was...Trey Songz" she says making my head snap to hers as anger starts to boil in my stomach. "What did he want?" I ask looking directly at her. "He wants to do a duet" She says looking down at her hands. "I think I'm going to the nail salon today" she starts rambling going off the subject.

"No" I say simply putting my face on my hand and looking at her. "No I can't go to the nail salon?" She asks looking at me confused. "No you can't do the duet with him" I say shrugging. "Oh? And why not Damita?" She questions leaning against the counter getting an attitude. "Because I said so" I say before taking a sip of my water. She smacks her lips and roll her eyes. "You don't tell me what I can and can't do, Damita" she says making me mad.

"Toni do you forget what happened between y'all?!" I ask standing up angrily. "First off lower your voice when you are talking to me or we are going to have a problem" she says crossing her arms as I come to stand in front of her. "We already got a problem if you are considering doing this duet" I laugh sarcastically. "What happened between us was an accident on my part" she says calmly. "Accident? Toni y'all kissed on stage in front of hundreds of people!" I say getting angrier just remembering it.

"That was five years ago Janet! And it was an accident! Besides you do more crap on stage then I do, do you mind sounds familiar to you?!" She says. Soon we are yelling in each other's faces making this our first major argument in over a year. "I said no Toni and that's the end of the discussion!" I yell. "And I said you don't tell me what I can and can't do so get over it!" She yells before turning around and attempting to walk out until I grab her arm and spin her around. "Toni don't walk away from me when I'm talking to you, you know I hate that shit!" I say yelling and she looks at me with wide, angry eyes.

"And I hate when you bring up shit from the past that I apologized for over and over again!" She yells. "I wouldn't have to do that if your past stayed there why do this man keep coming up?!" I say stomping my foot, my hand is holding her arm the whole time. "Oh like Jermaine! You did an entire album with his ass!" She snaps. "Because I didn't kiss him while going with you!" I say and she snatched her hand away from me and walks out the kitchen before I can stop her. I'm breathing heavy as I start to go after her but stop myself knowing I need to cool down before I say something I regret.

I go outside to the backyard and sit by the pool sand rub my temples. I feel an headache coming on. My phone rings and I look down to see I'm getting a FaceTime from my best friend Gil so I answer. "Hey Booty" he says smiling wide and I give him a small sad smile, "hey Gil" I say sadly. "Aww what's going on with you boo boo?" He asks pouting. I tell him everything and by the end of it he is shaking his head. "You both are so stubborn it don't make no type of sense. She is right, she is a grown woman and can make her own decisions. But you was right in not wanting her to work with Trey, because he definitely wants her" he says making me scoff. "I know!" I exclaim.

"But like I says she is a grown woman. I think you two need to sit down and talk this over, you know what happened last time y'all argued over this" he says making me sigh. "Don't remind me" I say but my mind is already taking me back to that day...

2010 Tonis House: Janet-
"You let him kiss you Toni!" I snap as we stand in the middle of her bedroom arguing. "I didn't know he was going to do that! How many times do I got to say that?!" She yells in my face. "Then why didn't you push him away? No you kissed him back and had me standing there looking stupid!" I say pushing past her to go down stairs and get away from her. She follows me angrily about to say something until the doorbell rings. She looks at me and rolls her eyes before going to answer it. Gil and Jada stands on the other side ready to go to the club.

"Hey babies y'all okay we heard yelling?" Jada asks as they come in. "We are fine, let's go" Toni says anxious to get away from the conversation. "Actually I need to talk to Toni" I say grabbing the car keys out of her hands as she picks them up and she glares at me. "Actually I have nothing else to tell you so like I said, let's go" She says before walking out of the house and slamming the door sit behind her. I stand there about to snap and go snatch her little ass back in here. "Ohh chiii y'all sure y'all okay?" Gil ask's looking between the door and me. "We are having a disagreement. But it will be resolved before the end of the night. Come on" I say as we all walk out and get into the car with Toni who is already in the passengers seat.

I get into the driver's seat and look over at her but she just rolls her eyes and looks the other way. See I'm going to have to fuck her up. By the time we arrive to the club I am already throughly pissed off and ready to go home to show her a lesson. "It's looks like it's popping in there I'm ready to shake some ass" Jada says already twerking in her seat. "Me too, let's go girl!" Toni says as they get out and leave, one of our body guards who was waiting in another car follows them inside. Leaving us with Joey.

Before I get out the car I turn to Gil. "Gil did you see that kiss?" I ask and he nods, "girl the whole world saw that shit and I already know it pissed you off Damita" he says making me grind my teeth together. "We have been arguing about it since she got home from the show and I know if she starts acting up at this club"- I start and he finishes. "Daddy Damita Jo is coming out and showing out" he says making me smirk. "You already know it, come on let's get in here before she starts cutting up" I say and we get out with Joey following us. God please don't make me have to hurt someone today, I pray silently to myself...
