Jieun was waiting for Heejin at a cinema near their school. It wasn't particularly crowded, there were a couple of students and adults there since school ended for the day already. She pretended to scroll through her feed on Instagram so that she will not look like a loser standing there. She already purchased the movie tickets, which is a rom-com movie that she thinks Heejin would like.

Jieun checked the time on her phone for the nth time. School ended quite a while ago, but where was Heejin? She wanted Heejin to quickly show up as soon as possible since she was feeling uncomfortable with the number of stares she was receiving from passing guys. She even forgot to get Heejin's number, which meant that she couldn't even call her or text her to ask for her whereabouts.

"Hey Jieun, sorry I'm late." Heejin jogged up to her and handed her a black sweater. "I went home to get a sweater for you in case you feel cold later."

"It's fine and thanks." Jieun smiled gratefully as she slung the sweater over her arm. She took one movie ticket out of her wallet and gave it to Heejin. "We are watching Isn't that romantic."

"Ah, you bought the tickets sweetheart? I'll pay you back." Heejin fished out her wallet from her bag but Jieun stopped her.

"It's fine... We should get the popcorn and drinks."

They went to the food counter and Heejin walked slightly faster so that she can order and pay for both of them. Isn't that what guys always do? To pay for everything? She already felt bad that Jieun had paid for the tickets so she wants to pay for the food.

"Yeah, uh I'll get the jumbo combo please." Heejin felt stupid saying the word 'jumbo'. "I want both drinks to be coke as well."

"That'll be $27."

Both Jieun and Heejin fished out dollar bills from their wallets and handed it to the person at the counter at the same time. They both looked at each other and Heejin gently moved Jieun's hand away so that Heejin herself can pay.

"Thanks." Heejin said as she got a large box of popcorn and two medium-sized drinks from the counter.

"You didn't have to pay, y'know. Since I was the one who suggested this movie." Jieun looked at Heejin and pouted.

"Nah, it's fine. I shouldn't let a girl like you pay either." Heejin looked away to hide her red face.

🎀♡🎀

Heejin puffed out her cheeks and tried focusing on the movie. It wasn't her taste and she was starting to get sleepy. She blinked a few times and stared at the big screen, trying to watch the show. She doesn't want to doze off, not in front of Jieun at least, but since it was a date with her crush, she shouldn't act like a prick and waste Jieun's money. She reached for the popcorn box, which was sitting in between both of them, and felt a soft hand touching hers. She looked to her right to see Jieun's gaze focusing on her.

"I-I'm sorry!" Heejin retreated her hand and faced back to the front. She could still feel Jieun's eyes on her. She took a peek and yes, she was still looking at her.

Heejin tried being cool about it. "You need anything, princess?"

Jieun did a double take as if she was snapped out of a daydream. "Eh?"

"...You were staring at me." Heejin chuckled.

"Sorry." Jieun muttered and turned back to the movie.

Heejin felt a surge of excitement and placed her hands at the back of Jieun's neck and pulled her closer. She was shocked that Heejin's lips were on hers but kissed back anyway. Jieun grabbed Heejin's collar with both hands and deepened the kiss.

"Ah, you like me, don't you?" Heejin pulled away and smirked.

"No... that kiss doesn't mean anything." Jieun said softly and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.

"Sure sure."

At the end of the movie, Heejin walked out of the theatre with a smug smile on her face. She excused herself and went to the toilet to call her friends. "Hey hag, guess what? Jieun and I kissed during the movie!" She punched a fist into the air.

Heejin walked out of the toilet to see Jieun standing at the entrance. Startled, Heejin asked her what's wrong, since Jieun had a strange look on her face that Heejin could not put her finger on.

"...I think I lost your sweater." She mumbled guiltily.

"Nah sweetheart, it's fine. I have plenty of sweaters at home haha." Said Heejin. She noticed that Jieun was still shivering a little even though they were out of the theatre already. Her teeth were actually chattering and she kept rubbing her palms together.

"You cold?"

"Yeah."

Heejin knew what she had to do. She swiftly took her blazer off and placed it gently on Jieun. Since Heejin wore bigger sized clothing compared to her, Heejin's blazer makes her look like a cuddly bear.

Heejin smiled as she held her hand and walked out of the mall
