Tetsurou POV:
"I want that report by the end of the day," I sighed, staring down at my assistant. She nodded, cheeks flushed as she rushed into her adjoined office, the door closing softly behind her. I leaned back in my chair, running a hand through my hair. What an idiot.
Sometimes I really wished I weren't so charmingly handsome – then maybe my employees could actually get some work done. I really ought to hire a male assistant instead. I shook my head as I sat up again, staring at the list of emails I needed to reply to today. Only one hundred; not bad.
After approving a few projects, reviewing some game pitches and the like, my assistant knocked on my door, popping her head in, her cheeks flushed. Though, when were they not? "Sir, your meeting with the Board is in five minutes," she said with a shy smile.
I nodded and stood from my seat, stretching. "Alright, let's go." She nodded, following after me as I made my way through the halls of the top of floor, entering the elevator and going down to the fifth floor. I tugged on my suit jacket, arranging my tie as I opened the door to the conference room, where my Board of Directors were already gathered
I smiled at them. "Good afternoon, gentlemen. Let's do this."

I could already feel a headache coming on as I made my way out of the building, cameras flashing from every angle. Did they really need to do this every day? I smiled and waved, my security team pushing them away and clearing a path towards my car.
They opened the door for me and I ducked into it, and the moment the door closed behind me I breathed out in relief. Through the tinted windows, they couldn't see me, finally. I closed my eyes already relaxing; I loved my life, but it was so tiring, sometimes.
At least now I could go home, snuggle with my cat, watch some TV, and relax. I groaned softly, throwing an arm over my eyes as the car began to move, leaving the crowd of paparazzi far behind. Thank god. At least my vacation was fast approaching.
Gentle music played from the car's speakers and I stretched, shifting in the leather seat. I gently patted the door; I should take this baby out for a ride soon. It was a shame that I never got to drive it around. I closed my eyes, the day's exhaustion catching up to me. I sighed softly, the gentle hum of the engine lulling me to sleep.

"Sir, we've arrived." I jolted awake, my eyes unfocused for a moment before realizing we were parked in front of my house.
I ran a hand through my hair and nodded. "Right. Thanks." I slipped out of the car, and walked up to the door. The manor was silent and empty, the beautiful, winding marble staircases polished to perfection, but there was no staff here apart from my security team.
I didn't like to be waited on hand and foot; it took me too far from my roots. Just because I could afford it didn't mean I needed it. Besides, I liked the peace; the security team never bothered me, so it was just me and Precious.
"Precious! I'm home!" I called, and moments later a little bell rang through the large empty space and she came running down the stairs, meowing at me. I crouched down and held out my hand. She waltzed up to me, rubbing her face against my outstretched palm. "I missed you," I cooed as I scooped her up, grinning as I walked into the kitchen.
I was starving. "Are you hungry, baby?" I questioned as I placed her on the counter, getting a loud meow in return. I chuckled. "Thought so." I bent down to retrieve her bowl and a can of her food – the finest cat food available on the market, if I do say so myself – plopping it down into her bowl. She near-attacked the bowl and I smiled softly, petting her.
It's been only me and Precious for a long, long time; she's been with me since I first moved to Tokyo to build this company. Look at us now. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, staring down at the list of contacts, staring at my parents' number.
My thumb hovered over the call button, only for me to sigh, closing my phone and placing it on the counter. I ran a hand through my hair; I couldn't call them. Not yet. When I looked up, Precious was staring right at me. "I can't," I mumbled, turning my stare back down to my phone. "It's been... five years." My heart sank; five years, already?
I shook my head and grabbed her, plopping down on my couch. Truth be told, I didn't know if I'd ever manage to gather the courage to call them.

I must've fallen asleep on the couch, because my neck was killing me. More than anything, however, I wondered why in the hell I was awake when it was dark as hell outside. "Sir, wake up." I blinked and sat up abruptly, noticing one of my security crew standing in front of me, visibly distressed. This was the new guy, was it?
"What is so important you need to wake me up for?" I hissed, rubbing the sleep from my eye.
The guy looked at me nervously – I couldn't remember his name for the life of me – and he cast a look over his shoulder. "I think it's best if you come see for yourself, sir... someone has left... babies at the gates, sir." My eyes widened; babies? What the hell?
I jumped to my feet, following after the man as he sped down several halls, leading me down various halls, giving me a basic rundown of the situation. "We've checked and double-checked everything and there doesn't seem to be anything to harm you, only... only the infants and a note were found in the basket, sir."
We burst into the security office, where most of the team was assembled, staring at a large basket in the center of the room. I could hear the distinct sound of... baby mumbling or whatever the hell it was coming from the basket. They weren't kidding.
I noticed the note in one of the men's hands and I grabbed it quickly, snapping it open.
Dear Kuroo Tetsurou,
It is highly likely that you don't remember me, because we were only together for one night – and, I daresay you were quite drunk. I was, too. It came as quite a surprise to me when I discovered that I was pregnant, and I knew that they could only be yours. I can't take care of them anymore, so I leave them to you.
P.S: In case you were wondering, their birthday is the sixteenth of October, 2019.
I crushed the note in my hand, letting it drop to the floor. It was only then that I allowed myself to peer into the basket, and my heart dropped. There were three babies in the basket. Three damn babies. Three. Each had a little card taped to the front of their clothes, with what I guessed was their names.
Asami, Chiaki, and Daiki.
No way. No way in hell was this real. "Get a DNA test. NOW!" One of them nodded and hurriedly ran out of the room. "And find a nanny to take care of them in the meanwhile – and for the love of God not a woman!" Another rushed out. I slumped in my seat, staring at the babies in shock as they returned my stare, bumbling and drooling.
This had to be a nightmare.
