"Jin, this is a welcoming back party not a freaking buffet." You said as Jin was making more delicious recipes for just three people: you, him, and Hoseok.
Hoseok was coming back from the vacation with his family so you and Jin decided to surprise him with his favorite dish. But Jin went overboard and basically cooked up a whole restaurant in the house.
"I don't care, he'll love it. Everyone loves my cooking." He said with confidence because he's like that and we love it.
You don't say anything back because you know he's right. I mean, you and Hoseok are a pig when it comes to eating food, especially when it's his food.
You heard the door unlocking and you quickly turned off all the lights and grabbed the Mang plushie before hiding behind the counter. Jin turned off the stove and squatted his legs down.
"Oh- cramp." Jin groaned quietly as the door opened with a squeak.
"Shh." You whispered and just as the lights turn on, both of you jump out of the kitchen and shout "surprise!"
Hoseok almost fell backwards as it had scared the life out of him but he sighed with a smile as he realized he wasn't going to die. He hugged the two of you, "Guys, what are you doing here?"
"We made—"
"Ahem." Jin cleared his throat.
"Jin made the food and I helped decorate. We wanted to surprise you and give you a nice welcome when you come back." You smiled widely but your smile slowly faded as a girl walked in with a suitcase.
"Who's that?" Jin asked him and he turned around to see who he was talking about.
"Oh, that's Penelope. She's my girlfriend." He said as he wrapped an arm around her waist. Your heart shattered as you witnessed it. He was your crush but hey, it says it in the name. Your crush will end up crushing your heart. :,)
"O-Oh, that's great." You tried to sound as happy as possible and looked at the girl beside him. "Take care of him, okay?" You smiled slightly and walked passed them.
"Where are you going?"
"I. . . need some air." You went outside and sat on the ground, staring at your hands. You tried to calm down but a few tears escaped your eyes.
Someone sat next to you and you quickly look away so they don't see your state.
"Hey, look at me." Jin's gentle voice was heard and you slowly look at him while biting your lips. "H-He has a girlfriend. . ." You cried out silently and hugged him tightly.
Jin ribbed your back and told you to let it out which you did because you couldn't hold it back. He tried his best to comfort you and make you feel better.
"I know you're sad and it's very hard to get over someone, trust me I know."
"Y-You've been through this?" You asked him, unbelievably. He's handsome why won't someone like him back?
"Yes, just like you but the girl didn't have a boyfriend." Jin said which made you more confused.
"Then why wouldn't—"
"She liked my best friend. I kept my distance as I didn't want to make her feel awkward and weird around me when she's with me all the time." He smiled as he looked away from you. You were connecting the dots as it all lead to you. Jin had a crush on you while you were crushing on Hoseok.
"I'll be here whenever you need me." Jin utters out.
