Nether Dream I

The clock chimed
Never before had my eyes
Seen such wondrous glamour
Glory crowned him
The night sang to him
His eyes the color of aqua tinged sapphire
His goal to lure me into his empire
Sculpted ethereal entity
Defines divine
His feature unworldly
Odd for this planet
His skin
Like the most luxurious textiles envied his texture
His short dark hair in Roman curls
His smile was a new star
Parchment toned appearance
His soul claimed cleansed
His movement
A gentleman, warrior, a vision, and champion
His voice is sultry and calm
His lips were cranberry
Though in the dark varied
He's all mine
His presence is like
A striking Viking
A calm essence
I'm under his static magic
And I subsist to his mouthwatering kiss

Nether Dream II

I lay on my bay-window daybed
I am much too hyper to sleep
The city lights downhill miles and miles away
Challenge the stars and moon
In "the brightest light of the night" contest
Cars zoom by like the toy cars
That they mimic in distance size
Businesses, structures, and buildings stand with
Their backs to my elevated house
The wind whistles and drives the leaves
To far-away new destinations
Something else makes its natural call along:
The howls of the wolves
The croaking of frogs
The chirping of crickets
The hooting of owls
The scavenging of the raccoons
And the traffic of the night: pedestrian and motor

Someone calls my name with one request
A hypnotic man's voice. "Emily, let me come inside."
I look at the east side of my bedroom
Outside the balcony's double doors
Is the handsome, yet mysterious man
I bolt up and run to him
My memory dishonored his splendor
The night is his crown, moonlit halo
He smiles
My eyes met his; my soul ached to be accompanied with his
And combine with his
To mix and form Yin and Yang
A perfect eternal union and romance in every allusion
Indefinite concoction, fusion
A mold
A manifestation
Of love and lust

I unlock and open the balcony doors
That blocked us from each other's warmth
"Come in" I said as my soul rejoiced
He steps over my threshold
And into my room
He sits on my daybed
And motions that I come to him
He enfolds me in his arms
And kisses me passionately
I looked into his eyes

"What's your name?" I ask
"A179220OP37751 Ezeru," he says

"That's not a first name," I pout feeling gypped.

"No, it's not. My kind is different from yours. Our human lover must name us, or we keep our serial birth number as a name. If we break up, I lose the name. We can't be given the same name twice, unless it's a different form of the name. Nicknames don't work, it applies to all forms of the name; it's not specific enough. The name you give me will only belong to our relationship," he says

"Hugh Vaughn Virmich," I name him

"Hugh Vaughn Virmich," he repeats like I broke shackles off of him

He kisses me

"Why did you choose me?" I ask

"Because I love you," he says

"You love me? We just met six days ago," I say

"We played together as children. You nicknamed me rabbit; you said that my hair felt like rabbit fur. Don't you remember?" he says

"Vaguely," I admit.

The last time I had been to the playground, in the clearing of the woods, I was ten. It's forty-five minutes from my house; I pass by the entrance regularly. From my parent's house, it takes only ten minutes to get there.

"You'd call me to stay with you when you couldn't sleep," he says

"I though those were dreams," I say
