There was no way this was actually happening.

NO MOONBLASTED WAY!!

Emma couldn't stop beaming. First she met the Doctor, and one of the best at that, and now he was taking her to Draco because a guinea pig told him to.

Could this day get any better??

Apparently it couldn't.

"Mom, dad," Emma begged. "Please just for a while! I'll be back in time for dinner!"

"I'm not having you run away with some British actor," her mother said, not looking up from whatever she was making for dinner. "You think he's the actual Doctor, don't you?"

"I do!" Emma cried. "You know what? He isn't Matt Smith! Really! He's the Doctor from another universe!"

"How could an entire universe be just like a TV show we watch?" Liam asked.

"It's bound to happen somewhere," the Doctor offered helpfully.

"Emma, you have a very nice imagination, but-" her father started.

"NO! You don't get it, do you?" Emma glared at her family. "My guinea pig is from outer space, and we need to go to Draco to... um... what was it that we were doing on Draco again?" She whispered to the Doctor.

"Squeak squeak squeak," said Humphrey importantly.

"He says that there's something there that he needs; he won't specify what," the Time Lord reported helpfully.

"This is stupid," Liam said. "You guys can tell Emma to do things, and according to the law, she has to do what you say."

"What?" Emma cried in outrage. "Who made that a law? I'm pretty sure that's just from that TV show on Netflix!"

"Oh, and I bet that's got it's own universe, too," Liam laughed.

"That's it! I'm going, and I won't let you stop me," she hissed. "I will be back in time for dinner, and when you realize that I was right all along, you'll forgive me."

And with that Emma stomped out of the house, Humphrey in her arms. The Doctor followed awkwardly, and whispered to Ms. Smith, "I'll bring her back fine."

They walked for a while; the TARDIS was pretty far away. But finally, as the sun was nearly down, and the sky was a deep purple, and the stars hadn't begun to shine yet, they arrived at the entrance to the fabled blue box.

Emma was honestly surprised no one had followed her; her family was confusing that way. But any worried were drowned in the sheer excitement of her one real dream coming true. She knew it wouldn't last long; as soon as the Doctor found a way to escape this dimension he'd be gone, but for now Emma Smith didn't care.

"Is it true that you met Jon Luc Picard?" she asked eagerly. (yes, RazielZonoran, I'm referencing your amazing story, which I could never hope to compare to my silly little half-written daydream)

"I wondered why I came here," he said thoughtfully. "I bet there's still a bit of a mess-up from the last time."

"Super simplified version of the flam-flam spacey-wacey maker is damaged because of timey-wimey stuff," Emma giggled.

"Essentially," the Doctor shrugged.

"So you did meet Jon Luc," Emma clarified.

The Doctor didn't respond and instead pushed open the doors to the TARDIS; and Emma had a sudden feeling she knew exactly what to say, because everyone had to say it.
