"How are you settling in?" Kai asks over the phone.
"Good! I finished unpacking. Taehyun and I are going to go explore the city before we start work on Monday. How is everyone?"
"Jisung is still single, your uncles noodle shop remains the best, I'm still struggling with college and my boyfriend surprisingly still hasn't broke up with me"
"So everything still the same?"
"Yes! I miss youuuuu when will you visit again?"
"Next year, when I finish my work here"
"I'll mark my calendar- Uh I gotta go it's Beomgyus turn to drink and he's trying to fight the bar tender BYE!" The line goes dead, leaving me alone in the silence of my apartment.
I stand up from my bed and walk over to my window. I have a beautiful view of the city, staring down at the passing cars. It's 2pm here. I'm still a bit jet lagged honestly.
My phone rings, signaling an incoming call. I check the caller ID.
Yeonjun is calling...
My heart stops. I'm unable to move due to shock. Why is he calling me? Should I answer? Do I want to answer?
I spend too long thinking and the call stops. I wait a few seconds but another call doesn't come.
I think about calling back, but what would I say? What if he accidentally called me? Is he drunk calling? What time is it I'm Korea anyways? It must be late if Beomgyu and Kai are drinking still.
Whatever, I should leave this in the past. I start heading to my bathroom to take a shower when I get another call. It's Yeonjun.
I answer it.
